Movies at the Middle School

Movie Night at the Middle School

Friday, January 22nd, 2016

7:00pm

New Hampton Middle School Auditorium

Mr. Rude’s 7th and 8th grade students and their parents are invited to participate in Movies at the Middle School. Movies at the Middle School is meant to be a positive choice alternative on Friday evenings, as well as an opportunity for education.

The movies shown will relate back to class, either for future lessons, or lessons already completed. Before and after the movie there will be brief discussions related to the main topic being covered, as well as a todaysmeet.com site active during the movie for questions related to the movie.

Eligibility:

7th and 8th grade students in Mr. Rude’s class, and their parents/guardians. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate the little ones at these. The purpose of these movie nights are fun, but we are still trying to create background knowledge to be used in class.

Friday night’s movie: Remember the Titans

A classic sports action movie created by Disney that tells the story of T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, VA. Their story begins with segregation and continues with the hard work of a football team to triumph over racism to be successful as a team!

Next movie is TBD and will be held in March
