Famous Letters

Today, we send a letter to a famous person. Many students don't realize how accessible people truly are in regards to fairly minor requests, such as a note or an autograph. Here's how you get it done.

1. Who do you want to receive an autograph from?

2. Find a way to contact them. Most autograph requests will require mailing them through the USPS and you'll probably have to send a SASE (self addressed, stamped envelope) along with your letter requesting your autograph or response.

--"How do I contact them", you ask?

Often times it is pretty simple. They usually have a website, and on that site there is a contact link. They usually have instructions there. If that doesn't work, google is your best friend

3. Address the letters that you'll need. It may seem out of order, but since you found the addresses and such you might as well get this part taken care of now. Below is an example of how it should look.

4. Write the letter.

-Be friendly, but professional

-Share a little insight about yourself and why you would like their autograph, picture, etc.

-Let them know how you feel about their work/endevours
