The first ever two hour delay went very well according to KHS Principal Randy Mikel.
There was some confusion about what time students have to be to school. He said we go off of when first hour normally starts and then add two hours to that. So classes starts at 9:52 a.m. when a two hour delay is in affect.
Students should plan on being to school by 9:47 so they can get to their lockers and to class on time.
Students are able to come to school earlier if necessary. For example if a parent needs to get to work, they can drop students off early and someone will be here.
School was delayed because of a Polar Vortex creating hazardously low temperatures.
