As the weather warms up (ish), spring sports begin at Kirksville High School. Kirksville High School has many different activities, clubs, and sports to offer. Kirksville has five Spring sports that they offer to students including: baseball, boys tennis, girls soccer, boys golf, and track. All spring sports were able to start practicing during the last week of February, followed by games and meets in March.
Baseball holds a 23 game season and their first game was played on March 19. Boys tennis has a slightly shorter season with 17 meets and their first meet will be played on Wednesday, March 30. Girls soccer started the earliest with their first match being played on the 18th of March, and they have 19 games that follow during their 20 game season. Boys golf has a total of twelve meets, and their first meet was at Macon. Marceline was invited to the meet along with Kirksville and it was this past Monday, March 28. The track season consists of 12 meets, with their first being held in Liberty.
As spring weather slowly arrives, our spring sports are in full swing. The spring sports all have different durations of seasons, but one thing is certain; playing now in the freezing cold of March will soon turn heat in May.
