October 28 Mrs. Itsuko Tsujii gave a plug on Instagram for the current issue of Japan's CHOPIN magazine , featuring her son Nobuyuki Tsujii on cover. She wrote that it's been 8 years since Nobu appeared on the magazine's cover. Several commenters replied that they found the issue sold out in stores.

The video was uploaded Sept 1 2020. It is footage of a performance in Hamburg, which I had the fortune of seeing live and watching this clip brought back fond memories. If you haven't seen the video, do check it out!

I know the feeling well. For months now I have been practicing these famous impromptus by Chopin & Schubert, played so effortlessly by Nobuyuki Tsujii in this clip. I can just now only barely hit the notes, with my eyes clued to the music sheets. Nobu cannot see the scores.

October 24 News came that Berlin's Tegel airport (TXL) is closing next month, on November 8. In May 2017, I flew there to see Nobuyuki Tsujii perform with conductor #VladimirAshkenazy and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO Berlin) in the Berliner Philharmonie. A joyful time! But with COVID pandemic, the retirement of Mo. Askenazy, and now this news -- how fleeting it all is. Continued at Farewell, Berlin Tegel Flughafen

As the autumn leaves began to change color, we were able to celebrate the Sapporo performance in the first half of the "Nobuyuki Tsujii Premium Recital 2020" tour. .

Peter Rosen's Rachmaninoff film airing in November
October 20 A while back, I posted about Nobuyuki Tsujii participating in a new Peter Rosen Film. I just heard from Mr. Rosen: "The film we made on Rachmaninoff ... will soon be broadcast in Germany and France on Arte [ cultural TV]. November 22 17:49 Germany, 19:01 France CET.
The film will then be distributed to many other European and Asian broadcasters through EuroArts Music International in Berlin.
