We all know Mrs. Greuey from the hallways and some know her even better from her classroom. Her contagious laugh and welcoming attitude make her a great person to talk to at Waterford. But for those who have watched her in the student vs. staff basketball game, you know she has a strong competitive side also. Here is the inside scoop to the woman you know as Mrs. Greuey...
She loves being a teacher because of the joy she gets from helping students. She didn't always plan on being a teacher though. She has an associates degree in Parks and Recreation Wildlife and did an internship in the Wolf Creek area. If she wasn't a teacher she could see herself working for the Division of Wildlife. As she grew her family she decided she wanted to do something else. When her daughters were in 3rd and 4th grade she ended up going back to school to become a teacher. She enjoyed the way the schedule allowed her to spend time with them.
Being a mom has always been important to Mrs. Greuey. She has three adult children; one stepson and two daughters. Being a grandma to her granddaughter Emery, 4, and grandson Elliot, 2 is also something she values. She doesn't have a favorite part about being their grandma. She loves all of it. But she specifically enjoys their smiles and hugs every time she sees them.
Mrs. Greuey lives on a farm so she has all kinds of pets, from cows to horses to dogs, she has it all. She loves staying active and being outdoors. She enjoys hiking on trails all over West Virginia and Tennessee with her daughter. She also plays pickleball often and participates in a spring and summer softball league.
In her free time Mrs. Greuey enjoys watching murder mysteries or comedies. Recently she has been watching Parks and Recreation reruns and listening to dateline podcasts. She enjoys all music too, especially country. She prefers coffee over tea for sure but with sugar and creamer because black coffee is not very good! She will openly admit that her guilty pleasure is eating chocolate.
