Many of us know Mrs. Delaney as our go-to for things like schedule changes, accuplacer testing, and CCP course sign-ups. For seniors, she saves us by sending our transcripts and helping us get scholarships so we can actually afford to go to college. While all the things she does are important there is so much more to her than her job. If she wasn't our counselor she would want to be an in-home organizer.
In her free time, she likes to play golf and spend time with her family. Working out is also something she enjoys but walking is her go- to, as she hates running. An interesting hobby of hers is scuba diving. She prefers to listen to a wide variety of music, "Anything except for Jazz" to be exact. While she likes almost anything she tends to gravitate towards country occasionally. Her current go-to Netflix shows are Succession and Mayor of Kingstown. Mrs. Delaney's guilty pleasure is shopping and I think a lot of us can relate to that one. If faced with the choice between tea and coffee she would definitely pick tea. Like most people, Mrs. Delaney has dreams to travel to cool places. Europe is at the top of her list and she would like to visit England. She has traveled to a small island in the Dutch Caribbean called Bonaire and she enjoyed that trip a lot.
A very interesting fact about Mrs. Delaney is that in her senior year of college she signed a one year lease for an apartment and her name was put into a drawing for a car. As you can tell by the picture she won and was given a red Mustang convertible.
Mrs. Delaney is married to her husband Rob and is a mom of two. To her being a mom can amazing but funny. At this stage, she enjoys hearing the things they say. Their curious minds come up with lots of interesting questions to keep her on her toes. Her favorite part is watching them grow up and learn new things. Another member of her family is her beloved dog, a golden doodle, named Millie.
When Mrs.Delaney moved to the area 10 years ago she wanted to be a school counselor. She was told it would be hard to find a job like that around here but two years ago when Mr. Baldwin reached out to her she jumped at the opportunity. Now she enjoys her job and helping the students at Waterford High School.
