Year 5 recently embarked on an exciting residential trip to the Conway Centre on Anglesey, and what an adventure it was! The children had the opportunity to challenge themselves and develop new skills through a range of thrilling activities.
From the teamwork and coordination required for canoeing and low ropes, to the exhilaration of the zip line and via ferrata, there was something to push everyone's boundaries. The pupils also enjoyed stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), which was a fantastic way to experience the beautiful coastal surroundings.
Beyond the adventure activities, the trip was also a valuable opportunity for the children to develop their independence skills. Living away from home, taking responsibility for their belongings, and working together as a team all contributed to their personal growth.
We must also extend a huge thank you to our dedicated staff who accompanied the children on this trip. They gave generously of their time and energy to ensure the trip was a success, supporting and encouraging the children every step of the way. It was wonderful to see the positive relationships between staff and pupils strengthened throughout the week, creating lasting memories for everyone.
The Conway Centre provided an excellent setting for this experience, and the children returned with fantastic memories, a greater sense of self-confidence, and stronger bonds with their classmates. It was a truly unforgettable trip!
We would like to egg-stend a sincere thank you to all the parents, carers, and family members who joined us for our Easter service. It was truly heartening to see so many of you come together to celebrate with our school community.
The children worked incredibly hard to prepare a beautiful and moving service, filled with songs, and readings that captured the spirit of Easter. Each year group contributed their unique talents, making it a truly memorable occasion for everyone involved. We were so proud to see their confidence and enthusiasm as they shared their learning with you.
Your presence and support mean a great deal to us. Events like these strengthen the bonds between our school, families, and the wider community, which is something we value deeply at Wincham Community Primary School.
Thank you for being a part of our celebration and for helping to make it such a special day.
We'd like to send a huge thank you to everyone who supported the recent PTA bingo night. It was a fantastic evening of fun and community spirit, and we are thrilled to announce that we raised a grand total of £1000!
This is a tremendous achievement, and the funds raised will go directly towards improving the outdoor environment, giving the children greater opportunity to be active, as well as to have a quiet space for those who don't want to spend their time running around. The generosity and support of our families and friends are invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for your ongoing commitment to Wincham Community Primary School.
A special thank you to the PTA for their hard work in organizing such a successful event. We look forward to future opportunities to come together and support our school.
I'd like to remind all parents of the correct uniform for the school, with the warmer weather here for a while. All information is on the website here.
There is a wealth of support for parents available online, beyond social media networks. We try to share as much professional information as we can to support you at home.
