School Uniform

I'd like to remind all parents of the correct uniform for the school, with the warmer weather here for a while.  All information is on the website here.

Please note that children should not come to school in crocs or sliders at all, and no trainers unless it is their day for PE.

New 'Thriving Families' support service

Supporting Families, Strengthening Futures

Do you have a child/ children aged 0-19 years or up to 25 years with SEND?  Thriving Families supports the whole family.  Whether it's parenting support, mental wellbeing, or building stronger family relationships, Thriving Families are there to support you.

Help Us Shape the Starting Well Service

The Starting Well service delivers support to children, young people, their families and carers across Cheshire West and Chester. The service is based mainly in Children’s Centres but also delivers support in families and carers' homes, and in schools.

The Starting Well team includes Health Visitors, nursery workers, early years workers and School Nurses.

We would like to gather some ideas from people who use a Starting Well 0-19 service (up to 25 years old for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)), and those who don’t, to understand what works well and what could be done better.

Early Help Navigator service

At Wincham Community Primary School, we are committed to supporting the well-being and development of all our pupils and their families. We recognise that sometimes families may face challenges that require additional support, and we are pleased to offer access to the Early Help Navigator service, provided by Cheshire West & Chester Local Authority.

What is Early Help?

Early Help is a voluntary service designed to provide support to children, young people, and their families at the earliest opportunity. It aims to address challenges before they escalate, helping families to build resilience and thrive.

Introducing Our Early Help Navigator

Our dedicated Early Help Navigator is here to provide guidance and support, connecting families with the right services and resources. They can offer assistance with a wide range of issues, including:

• Parenting support and advice

• Financial concerns

• Housing difficulties

• Emotional well-being

• Access to community resources

• Support for children with additional needs

How Can the Early Help Navigator Help?

The Navigator can work with families to identify their strengths and needs, develop a support plan, and connect them with appropriate services. They can also provide ongoing support and advocacy, ensuring families receive the help they need.

How to Access the Service

If you feel your family could benefit from Early Help support, please contact the school office. Our team can provide you with further information and arrange for you to speak with our Early Help Navigator. All conversations are confidential and conducted with sensitivity.
