At Wincham Community Primary School, we believe that nurturing strong friendships is an essential part of a child's development. To reinforce this, we've recently dedicated assemblies to exploring the importance of working at friendships. We've discussed the value of kindness, empathy, communication, and forgiveness in building and maintaining healthy relationships.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home, reminding your children that friendships require effort, understanding, and mutual respect. By fostering these qualities, we can help our children develop the social and emotional skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
What a truly magnificent day our Summer Fair was! The sun shone brightly, the laughter echoed through the school grounds, and the sense of community spirit was simply heartwarming.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to every single one of you who came along and made the day such a resounding success. From enjoying the games and stalls to savouring the delicious food and drinks, it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces.
The Summer Fair truly showcased the very best of Wincham, reminding us all of the strong bonds that tie our community together. Thank you once again for your incredible support and for making memories that will last a lifetime.
I'm delighted to share that after expenses, the event has raised a huge £2800! As ever, we are incredibly grateful to our wonderful Wincham Fmaily & Friends for all of the hard work that went into making the event such a success.
Particular thanks in this go to Mr Babington, our PE lead, for his hard work and commitment to achieving this award.
We're thrilled to share some fantastic news! Wincham Community Primary School has recently been awarded the prestigious Sportsmark Gold Award. This national recognition highlights our commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for all children to participate in and enjoy sports and physical activity.
To achieve this award, we had to demonstrate high standards in various areas, including the quality and variety of our sports provision, the number of children taking part, and the support for our young volunteers and sports leaders.
We believe that physical activity and sports play a vital role in promoting children's health and wellbeing. Through sports, children develop essential skills such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience, which will benefit them throughout their lives. We're incredibly proud of our pupils and staff for their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to continuing to inspire a lifelong love of sports and physical activity in all our children.
We're excited to announce that Wincham Community Primary School will be participating in Cycle to School Week! We encourage all families to consider cycling, scooting, or even walking to school during this week.
Not only is it a fantastic way to get some exercise and improve health and well-being for everyone, but it also helps reduce congestion and the stress of finding a parking spot in the mornings. Plus, by choosing active travel, we can all make a positive impact on our environment.
Let's work together to make Cycle to School Week a success!
I'm delighted to share that Mr & Mrs Hamman are expecting their first child. Mrs Hamman will start her maternity leave early in the spring term. I'm sure everyone will share with me in congratulating the parents to be!
I will write to parents of children in Spiders class as soon as arrangements are made for Mrs Hamman's maternity cover.
If you need to speak to a teacher about something, please use the class email address to arrange a meeting or phone call. Teachers will ask for a very brief idea of what the meeting is about. This allows teachers to find information and prepare for the meeting as necessary, making it easier and more productive for all concerned.
We're excited to announce that Wincham Community Primary School is participating in the Asda Cashpot for Schools promotion!
Every time you shop at Asda using the Asda Rewards app, you can select our school to receive a donation. It's a fantastic opportunity to raise much-needed funds for our school, simply by doing your regular shopping. Every little bit helps, and we appreciate your support in making Wincham an even better place for our children to learn and grow.
Remember, every time you shop and choose us, Asda also adds extra funds to our school's Cashpot! For more details, please visit the Asda website or download the Asda Rewards app.
