This week's assembly shone a spotlight on the vital topic of mental wellbeing, marking our participation in Children's Mental Health Week 2025. We explored the theme of theme Know Yourself, Grow Yourself in partnership with Here4You, supported by The Walt Disney Company and the Inside Out 2 characters.
Drawing inspiration from resources provided by Place2Be, we talked about how sharing our feelings and listening to others can make a real difference. The children learned some simple but effective strategies for staying mentally healthy, including the importance of talking about their worries, being kind to themselves and others, and finding healthy ways to express their emotions. We encouraged everyone to continue these conversations at home and to remember that we're a supportive school community, here to help.
Thanks to everyone who has followed us on Instagram and Facebook over the last week. Please like and share our posts to help us advertise the school to prospective parents.

Please see the leaflets here for free courses for parents on topical issues. In particular there is a free online session about Supporting Healthy Screen Use, something school staff are often asked about.

Public libraries are hosting their highly successful Fancy Dress Swaps again this year from 1st February in preparation for World Book Day. Using the scheme could not be easier: donate any unwanted costumes to the library or see what outfits they have and take them for no charge, it’s that simple.
Participating libraries are Barnton, Frodsham, Hope Farm, Lache, Little Sutton, Neston, Northwich, Sandiway, Weaverham, Wharton and Winsford.
And why not use the opportunity to borrow a book or join the library while you’re there? Joining a child is free and easy and does not require ID. There are no late charges for Under 13s.

It's always nice to have some lovely feedback! Parents often mention in passing how happy their children are, how much they have enjoyed their learning, or how they are grateful for a particular member of staff who has gone above and beyond.
Scan the QR code or click the button below for an opportunity to thank a member of Team Wincham for their hard work and efforts to provide the best opportunities and care.
There are a range of services we can signpost to, including financial support. There is a wide range of information available on the school website. This includes the Foodbank, free uniform, wider support with rising cost of living, and a range of other things.
If you are struggling financially, please don't hesitate to speak to Mr Boot or Ms Boag-Munroe.
