Passive: Shadows
You and your allies return as shadows once killed, until you are respawned. Probably after a 5-15 second timer.
Foes you use Finishers on or kill become your shadows if their squad is eliminated. They become a spectator once their shadow is killed unless you have an available squad slot they might fill.
You can see the number of spectators watching you and your team.
You can craft the banner of shadows and spectators. This can let you fill abandoned slots with those who are still with you.
You can still revive your allies for 30 seconds after they become a deathbox. You use shadows/nanites to reform their shell, and their deathbox is used as well. Once complete, their shadow is teleported into the shell and they are revived with the same inventory they had when they died, as if they weren't truly killed. Still have to account for items swapped by enemies but otherwise its the same inventory.
Likewise allies can use this revive on you as well. Animation appears like your shell rises out of the ground like a shadow/ghost and reforms, then the shadow you're playing as get siphoned into the shell and you live again, revived.
I forget which was worth more, revive or respawn, so use the higher. If Revive is worth more, it's a revive. If respawn is worth more, it's a respawn, that way people don't waste time grabbing your banner and heading to a beacon.
You cannot revive yourself this way, in case you manage to make it back to your deathbox within the 30 second timeframe.
Yes shadows can revive people. You just can't revive yourself. That would make this Legend very broken if you could. I could see this plausibly, but that would make this Legend very overpowered.
Enemies you finish might lose their squad and join your squad as a one life shadow until they are killed or respawned. Until their squad is eliminated, you cannot claim them as your squad. When their shadow dies, their squad records will swap from yours back to theirs if their squad lives, including trackers, health monitors, and chat capabilities, if their squad lives. Otherwise they will spectate you, or become a constantly respawning shadow to replace one of your squad mates who abandoned the game and can be respawned by you, whether by crafting and beacon or by Ultimate cast.
You have as many constantly respawning shadows as fallen squad mates. These are your squadmates or their replacements if your original squad abandoned you.
If your squad is eliminated, all your remaining shadows instantly die, placing one beneath you. Squad shadows place with you.
If you win, of course squad shadows place with you, and spectator shadows place second as well as the losing team. Or the shadows place third, losers second, your squad the win. Point is spectator shadows get a higher placement for participating with you but they still have lower placement than you. Also gives them a chance to gain more damage and kills, assuming they are re-eliminated in the process.
Tactical: Shadow Prowler
Summon a shadow prowler.
Shadow Prowlers last 60 seconds or until killed.
If you have an available squad slot, such as if someone abandoned you, a Prowler can fill that spot and make up for their absence.
Ultimate: Rise!
Summon two Shadow Prowlers and up to 5 spectators as your Shadows. This number can fluctuate depending on mode. 3 for duos.Â
You can also respawn all your squad mates by extending the cast time to 5 seconds, reforming their shells and then teleporting their shadows into them.
If some of your squad left, you can claim spectators as squad mates for this process. Ones living as shadows are prioritized for respawn and it expands the number of spectators turned into shadows to replace the ones who became living.
Ends with 2 Prowlers and 3/5/? shadows and a fully filled living squad.
Remember: Shadows have 100 HP, slightly faster speed, and are melee only. They cannot loot and have no inventory.
The only permanent shadows are the ones
Spectators spawned as shadows will place where they died again, increasing their placement and adding a few seconds to their survival time. This is always one place beneath you if you get wiped.
