SELF-REGULATION & METACOGNITION.
HOW WE THINK & PLAN FOR SUCCESS | HOW WE LEARN | PAGE 32
Metacognition is like having a conversation with your own brain: thinking about your thinking, using this awareness to change what you think about, helping you to learn more effectively. Self-regulation is about trying to take control of your learning journey, such as managing time and keeping your emotions in check. When we pair them together you can help yourself to learn as effectively as possible. It isn’t about going it alone. Sometimes, the best way to help yourself is to ask others for help.
