WRITING WITH PURPOSE.
SOME COMMON FORMS OF WRITING | READING & WRITING | PAGE 114
The most effective writing appeals to its audience and is matched to its purpose. The audience is the person or people who will read or listen to the piece of writing. For example, a letter might have an audience of one specific person, but a newspaper article might have an audience of thousands. If you’re writing to achieve a specific goal make sure that you match every aspect of your writing to that audience and purpose.
