There are many types of non-fiction writing. All writing is made up of words, phrases, clauses and sentences so you already have the basics even if you don’t know a particular form well. These are some tips for how to write successfully in some common forms, but there really are no rules here — start with these and experiment with your writing. As long as you say what you want to say and your reader or audience understands you, you’ve been successful.
