12 miles of walking, monuments, and cherry blossoms galore, DC and Virginia in a nutshell. DC is a must see for any traveler or US resident. It can be difficult to think about visiting a place that represents corruption for a lot of people but I believe it is important to remember that our nation was founded by the people and places that this location pay homage to. We have the opportunity to dwell in knowledge and history in this city and only need to take a water taxi 20 minutes out of the Potomac to reach some peace and tranquility in Virginia and Maryland. My good friend Caitlyn has to be credited for this killer itinerary that she provided the sweetest advice and recommendations on, it always pays off to have friends who are well traveled and know the good places. This city is definitely a place you can spend several days, taking in the sites. The beauty and history are almost overwhelming, never forget to look up for a view, stop to smell the flowers, and try your best to avoid the 456,789 people selling bracelets at every turn.
