My Reflection 10/27/18
Vermont felt like a Hallmark Christmas movie just to sum it up. I visited the state with a friend from grade school and even though we hadn't really hung out in years, it felt like we picked up right where we left off but with more matured manners and much more love for dogs. (the Airbnb we stayed at had a dog...best Airbnb ever). We immediately drove upstate to see Quechee gorge and all its glory with Stowe and the mountains on the way there. It was a gorgeous view of fall foliage and snowfall when we arrived and it was beautiful regardless of the cold. We ate in a diner near the gorge and met some alpaca nearby making the entire experience even more unique. We drove back to Burlington and walked down Church Street, stopping in chocolate shops and CVS for an umbrella. We ate at the original Ben and Jerry's and enjoyed a night at Skinny Pancake where they had a small concert with the best 90's cover band I have ever seen. All in all it was exactly the trip I needed after the hustle and bustle of NYC.
