My friend that I met in my first role at United Airlines and I traveled to Banff in 2023 and talked about taking another trip together to Portugal in the future. We actually made it out of the group chat and had the best time exploring Lisbon and Porto. There is a feeling in these cities that I can't quite put into words. The mosaic tiles, people sitting on their balconies or in parks, cafes open hosting people coming and going for their daily coffee or tea, there is a slower lifestyle that actually is energizing unlike other places I have been. From sunrise to sundown I was impressed and enjoyed my trip entirely. I could go on forever but I already know I want to return.
