My Reflection 9/22/18
Yooooo-whoooo! This is a greeting heard in Sweden and it pretty much made my year to hear someone say this to their friend at a restaurant while visiting. The land of IKEA, pronounced EE-KAY-UH, is a clean, simplistic, geometric wonderland. The outskirts of Gamla Stan, old town, remind me of wicker park in Chicago because it is eclectic but neat and full of minimalist design. Old town was so magical and quaint. It stole my heart immediately with its cute buildings and cobble stone streets. The Royal Palace and boat tours are a must for this destination, they make you feel in the Swedish mood. Stop in a cafe and take the time to truly enjoy your meal with whomever you traveled with. People watch at Gamla Stan and take a seat to admire where you are in the world and how fortunate you are to be there. I definitely want to visit more of Scandinavia after this trip.
