My Reflection 10/23/18
Arizona is a dream in the fall. Every inch of this state seemed to be completely picturesque and soared above my imagining. I traveled to Arizona with my friend Kristine for two days. to check off some bucket-list items. Seeing the Grand canyon, and the national treasures that lie in Arizona were on my to do list and I was anxiously anticipating the day I would be able to accomplish this. We began our trip by receiving an upgraded car, a convertible Camaro, which we used to our advantage cruising through the Arizona heat and cool mountains with the top back and windows down. The terrain changes in this state from dry flat desert with cacti to red rocks towering above you as you drive or hike through the area, to mountain and canyons with cool breezes where you suddenly need a sweater. The variety of the land is breathtaking but the most impressive part of it all is taking the time to admire the vastness of these landmarks and wonder how they came to be. Antelope Canyon showcased the impact that rain and wind has had on the land, carving out caverns that take the shape of a woman with her hair flowing back in the wind, a chief Navajo in a powerful profile, and twin horizons. This was my favorite part of the trip because each moment was full of wonder and inspiration. I hope to visit the wave, arches national park, and saguaro national park on my return as well as see a concert at red rocks. Arizona took my breath away.
