ITINERARY
MONTREAL
QUEBEC CITY
REFLECTION 12/4-12/7
If you are looking for a French getaway without the 8 hour plane ride, just go here. I was actually shocked at how prevalent French was...it was the primary language they spoke with and often times the only language available. My friend Anna and I had planned this Canadian getaway hoping to ice skate, eat poutine, and catch a hockey game, and honey, that we did. Add in being sick upon arrival, falling on the ice and messing up my arm, getting stuck in an elevator to then be rescued by French Canadian firefighters who looked at us like crazy people when we tried to explain that we were free (in english), getting a parking ticket, leaving our ticket in the rental car, forgetting my travel pillow at an Airbnb, and playing charades in Quebec to convey my messages and that pretty much sums up this trip. Regardless of the troubles we encountered, I wouldn't have chosen anyone else to go through them with. Anna is always down for the ride and will take the wheel when I LITERALLY AND PHYSICALLY can't, for that and much more, I couldn't be more grateful.
