Montana 6/25/22
My friend Jacqui and I took a trip to Kalispell, Montana to visit Glacier National Park. We stayed on a horse ranch in a tiny home that was perfectly made for us. We even had a ranch pet, kitty who walked with us everywhere we went. While the entirety of the park was not available due to a large snowfall a few days before our trip, the parts of the park that we did see were beyond breathtaking. The air in Montana is crisp and clean, it feels like you can eat it with every breath. We went to western stores, gawked at every beautiful local in town and ate some great meals out. We were able to do the trail of the cedars, see the "rainbow" rocks of lake MacDonald as well as take an informative boat ride on the lake by the only operating boat on the lake. St Johns loop trail was our favorite, after the incline in the beginning, you become completely surrounded by wilderness and kind of feel a slightly spooky amount of isolation which is then met by a highly visited tourist part of the trail over a waterfall with views of the mountain peaks above. Making friends with the horses on the ranch, taking in fresh air, and being in nature made this trip super enjoyable. Jacqui is the perfect travel buddy and we had such a nice time.
