My Reflection 6/2018

Queue the Pure Michigan commercial. Sand Dunes, the beach, and kayaking along picturesque colored rocks? Sounds like a treat right? It certainly was and Michigan has so much more to offer. Known for the crisp outdoors, Michigan welcomes visitors to indulge in hiking, water sports, days at the lake, kayaking, and dwelling along the upper peninsula. I have been there twice and in these visits I did exactly that, took advantage of the natural wonders in the state for relaxing weekends away. This is a great place for a small getaway with friends or family. I hope to return in the fall for foliage and apple picking that I have heard so much about.

ReflectionMackinack Island during a global pandemic sounds like heaven right? Well it can be if you try to keep to yourself and avoid people, but a lot of people might have the same idea as you. My friends and I took a short weekend trip to the crystal blue water paradise. While we were there, we did the 8 mile bike ride, went to the pictured arch, and enjoyed the quaint and adorable island. It is certainly a top US destination I would recommend to anyone looking for that classic midwest nature and lake trip.
