My Reflection -5/8/18
My first visit to Puerto Rico made me realize that I would definitely be back and possibly make this my go to location. Growing up, I had heard an abundance of great things about the island. My grandmother on my mother's side grew up just outside of San Juan on the east side of the island. I had been itching to experience everything my grandmother had made me excited to see. From the moment the island became visible exiting the clouds, I knew this place was going to reveal much more to me than I had imagined. The crystal clear waters, greenery, mountains, hills, vegetation, animals, air, and architecture stole my heart. There was not a moment that I was there where I wasn't pinching myself in disbelief. It feels like paradise at each turn and I began to understand the passion and love I had only heard of for this island. Whether we were driving through the streets, stopping at a waterfall, roadside view, visiting a beach, eating dinner coast side, or jumping in a pool of fresh water, the island revealed its natural beauty with every encounter.
