Weekly Bible Study by Mark At A Matter Of Truth
This Bible study “series of studies” is a weekly Bible study. Each week we will do a “word” study, a “phrase study”, a “Verse Study”, or any combination of these three types of Bible studies.
In other words, in some of the weekly Bible studies, we will combine a Verse Study along with a word study or a phrase study.
This Bible Study that I titled as “Week One, The Lamb Slain from the Foundation of the World”, is the first study in this series of studies.
So then, it is best to BEGIN our group Bible study with Week One, and then continue with Week Two, Week Three, and so forth, until each individual series of Bible studies is completed.
Now, the entire theme of this first series of weekly Bible Studies will be focused upon Yahweh, the Creator, searching for and finding the MAN who is after Almighty God’s own heart that will do all of Yahweh’s will with complete obedience.
Thus, this first Bible study on week one will be a Verse Study on Acts 13:22, which clearly teaches us that Jesus is the FULFILLMENT of 1 Samuel 13:14, which we will cover in this study as well.
I will quote Acts 13:22 from the King James Version, but I also encourage everyone to read and compare different “translations” of the Bible, which you can find by clicking on the link, Compare the Different Bible Translations!
I have the link “preset” to open to Act 13:22 in the English Standard Version, the ESV, but you can click on the down arrow in the search box to choose from many other translations of the Bible.
Now, I place all of my Scripture quotes in “italics” and in a larger font size so that they stand out.
For you see, we are studying the “Scriptures”, and thus, the comments are only meant to be a guide to help my readers learn how to study the Bible on their own with the Holy Spirit as their actual teacher.
Here is Acts 13:22 with its immediate context so that we can better understand who is being discussed in verse 22.
Acts 13:21-14 from the KJV.
“And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul, the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. (God’s people, who are called Israel, desired to have a king over them like the other nations, and God gave them Saul as their first king)
Acts 13:22. And when he had removed him, He raised up unto them David to be their king; (The name “David” means “loving”. In other words, God raised up a king who would LOVE or be loving to God’s people) to whom also He gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, (Or I, Yahweh have found the BELOVED Son of the extant, the existing one. The name “Jesse” means extant, which means existing) a MAN after My own heart, which shall fulfill all My will.
Acts 13:23. Of this man's seed has God, according to His PROMISE, raised unto Israel a Savior, Jesus:”
Whenever I find words and phrases like “God promise”, “it is written”, that it might be fulfilled, and the fulfilled in the New Testament, then I use the “cross reference” in a study Bible to read that PROPHECY in the Old Testament.
Here is one of the many cross references that I found in the concordance in E-Sword.
Zechariah 9:9.
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, your King comes unto you: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”
The more you read and study the Bible, then the Holy Spirit will bring to you remembrance the Scriptures that you have read.
For example, some of you may remember reading about Jesus riding upon a donkey and the people laying down palm branches and saying, Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord, found in John 12:12-16, Matthew 21:4-11, Mark 11:1-11, and Luke 19:30-40.
Again, the main point or theme of this first series of Bible studies is that Almighty God, the Creator, searched for and found or acquired a MAN after His own heart, who would do all of the will of his God and Father.
And that man who obeyed all of the will of his God and Father is clearly identified as being Jesus in Acts 13:22, which we have already read.
So then, let us now read the PROPHECY of the fulfillment in Acts 13:22, which is found in 1 Samuel 13:14.
1 Samuel 13:14.
“But now your kingdom shall not continue: the LORD has SOUGHT Him a MAN after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be captain over his people, because you have NOT kept that which the LORD commanded you.”
Now, many Christians know and understand that there are types, shadows, and figures of Jesus, the Messiah, found in verses of Scripture in the Old Testament.
In other words, the lambs that were SLAIN and offered as sacrifices for sins under the Old Covenant were shadows pointing to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, according to John 1:29.
Also, King David is a figure pointing to Jesus as a MAN after God’s own heart. King David’s heart was after God’s on heart in that David was alway quick to repent whenever he sinned.
And the heart of Jesus is after God’s own heart in that Jesus did not sin.
But some Christians have never been taught that there are also types, shadows, and figures of Satan, the enemy of God, found in verses of Scripture in the Old Testament, such as this verse in 1 Samuel 13:14.
In other words, God is in the process of REMOVING Satan as the god of this present world and PROMOTING a new King over the earth who will rule in RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE.
We will cover all of the verses that teach us about God setting His King over the earth during the world or age to come in another series of studies after this series of studies.
And each new series of studies will gradually take you more in-depth in the Scriptures and teach you how to study the Bible on your own.

Almighty God Found a MAN after His own heart!

And you already know all that you MUST do in order to receive eternal life in the world to come.
And if you already know what NOT to do AFTER you are reconciled to God concerning WHICH Covenant to keep.
In other words, if you already know NOT keep the WORKS of the law contained in ORDINANCES in the commandments under the OLD Covenant that Jesus ABOLISHED on the cross to keep Jesus, our NEW Covenant, as our ** TRUE Sabbath! **

And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.

COLOR CODING EXPLANATION of HIGHLIGHTING!
Please notice the studies I write, I have three options, Bible studies on a light blue page background, Bible studies on a white page background, and on my Google Docs page, I have Bible studies on a white page highlighted colors for emphasis, which is great for STUDYING the Bible.
To find my color highlight version of any study, simply click on the RED TITLE.
I basically use FOUR main colors when highlighting in my Bible studies.
Each of the four colors have a coded representation or meaning.
Below is a list of the four colors and what each color represents.
#1. The ORANGE highlighting refers to Yahweh, Almighty God the Father as being the ONE TRUE God in ONE person.
#2. The YELLOW highlighting refers to Jesus, the Son of God, DURING the days of his FLESH.
In other words, the color yellow represents the HUMAN Son of God BEFORE his God and Father highly exalted the Son of MAN, Jesus.
I also use the color yellow just as an emphasis to draw your attention to key words and phrases.
#3. The BLUE highlighting refers to Jesus AFTER God highly exalted His human Son and CROWNED him with glory and honor to be MADE Lord after the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36.
God made or SET His human Son on His throne as His King and Lord to rule in PEACE over the earth for 1000 years in the world to come.
The light blue color also represents TRUTH.
#4. The GREEN highlighting refers to FALSE doctrines of devils.
I use the color green in most cases to draw attention to things that the word of God teaches AGAINST.
In other words, I use the green color to point out things in the Scriptures that do NOT FIT or do NOT AGREE with the man-made church doctrines.
But in SOME cases, the color green is for emphasis only.
In other words, when I want words like AND, ALSO, FOR, and THAT to stand out in a phrase that is highlighted in all yellow, then I will also use the green and or blue color just to emphasize a word.
With my color coding being explained, here is a list of LINKS to each of the in-depth Bible studies on that subject.

The RED Title of the subject HEADING MENU list of Studies with LINKS will always be placed the between two stars like so, **E-0. Subject Heading Menu List of Studies**.
I do this to let you know that the RED LINKS will always take you to my Google Docs page to read the studies in the COLOR HIGHLIGHTED format.
Each SUBJECT Heading MENU List of Studies is coded with a LETTER of the alphabet followed by a ZERO.
And then, each study listed under that subject heading will have a number in the ORDER that I suggest them to be read.
For you see, each study builds or adds more understanding to the previous study above it.
Thus, learning God’s word is kind of like learning math or arithmetic, you need to learn the BASICS before you can know HOW to solve the more complicated mathematical problems.
