Bb-4. 1 Corinthians 15:22,23 Does NOT Teach Universalism?
***What Does 1 Corinthians 15:22 TRULY mean?
Here is 1 Corinthians 15:22 from the KJV. “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
Does 1 Corinthians 15:22 PROVE that EVERYONE will be SAVED?
In other words, does this verse of Scripture prove that the Bible teaches Universalism, which teaches that every person from Adam to the end of the 1000-year reign of Jesus will be saved?
In John 5:29, Jesus said there will be two TYPES of people who will be resurrected, those who will receive eternal life and those who will receive DAMNATION or DESTRUCTION, according to Matthew 7:13-15, Philippians 3:19, and John 3:15,16.
The wages of sin is DEATH and the lake of fire is the SECOND DEATH and NOT a second chance!

Will EVERYONE be Saved Eventually?
According to the Christians, who sincerely believe and teach that EVERYONE will eventually be saved, they claim that the PROOF of Universalism is found in 1 Corinthians 15:22.23.
NO! Many thousands of times NO! That is THEIR erroneous INTERPRETATION of 1 Corinthians 15:22,23.
It is the Universalist Christians who misuse these verses to wrongly CLAIM as being proof that all human beings will be saved eventually.
And that is one of the biggest LIES and doctrine of devils to ever have existed.
Let us read 1 Corinthians 15:22,23 when it is left in its CONTEXT in order to learn its true sound Biblical meaning.
1 Corinthians 15:20-28.
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (Or DIED. This means that Jesus is the very first human being that has died and has been brought back to life and then changed from being mortal to be given immortality to never die again.
Jesus has become the firstborn among many BRETHREN)
1 Corinthians 15:21. For since by man came death, by man came also the RESURRECTION of the dead. (Meaning that everyone who has died whether they are saved or unsaved will be resurrected from physical death to be made alive again so that they can be JUDGED.
For you see, it is appointed for man to die ONCE, according to Hebrews 9:27, and then comes the JUDGMENT!
But the Bible ALSO teaches us of a SECOND DEATH in the lake of FIRE at the END of the Millennium for all of the UNSAVED.
God did not APPOINT man to suffer the second death. For you see, according to Matthew 25:41, the lake of fire was prepared for Satan, the Devil and his angels.
So then, to know more about the difference between physical death and the second death please read the study “Aa-2 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE?”
The Bible teaches us that after the resurrection of Jesus there will be TWO resurrections that are separated by 1000 years.
And ONLY the SAVED dead in Jesus Christ will be resurrected in the FIRST resurrection AT the second coming of Jesus right BEFORE the 1000-year reign of Jesus.
And in the second and final resurrection BOTH those who are found righteous DURING the Millennium and ALL the wicked from Adam to the end of the Millennium will be resurrected and JUDGED by their WORKS.
And in the final resurrection, ONLY some will be resurrected to eternal life and the rest will be resurrected to eternal destruction in the lake of fire which is called the SECOND DEATH)
1 Corinthians 15:22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made ALIVE. (Meaning ALL of ONLY those who are in Jesus Christ who are JUDGED to be faithful followers of Jesus will be made alive first.
And then, ONLY they, the physically DEAD in Jesus will be RESURRECTED or made ALIVE at his coming.
And THEY, the risen dead in Jesus, will be CHANGED in a twinkling of an eye to be given eternal life along WITH those Christians in Jesus Christ who will have remained ALIVE physically and “spiritually” alive unto the COMING of Jesus)
1 Corinthians 15:23. BUT every man in his own order: (Meaning every SAVED person in Jesus Christ will be resurrected, then JUDGED WORTHY, and then given eternal life or immortality, according to 1 Corinthians 15:50-54, which is part of this SAME CONTEXT.
BUT even every truly born-again Christian in Jesus Christ will be resurrected in their OWN ORDER.
And what I mean by this is that there will be TWO harvests of those saved in Jesus Christ to become firstfruits unto God.
Let us see the order of the SAVED people being given ETERNAL LIFE. Order #1) Christ the firstfruits; (So then, Jesus was the FIRST human being to ever be given immortality. Order #2) afterward they that ARE Christ’s at his coming. (The second group of people to become FIRSTFRUITS unto God will be true born-again faithful Christians in Jesus Christ at the second coming of Jesus right BEFORE the Millennium.
And this INCLUDES all the Old Testament SAINTS and every faithful Christian from the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 all the way to the SECOND coming of Jesus.
To understand why I say the Old Testament saints please read the study called G-21. WHAT AND WHERE IS PARADISE?
But for now, please understand that the name of Jesus is the ONLY name given among men whereby we MUST be SAVED.
Know and understand that when Jesus died, his Soul DESCENDED first to the holding place of the dead and he PREACHED the GOSPEL to the RIGHTEOUS who had died from Adam to the cross.
And Jesus did that so that they could BELIEVE in the NAME of Jesus the same as those alive in their PHYSICAL BODIES. Order #3)
1 Corinthians 15:24. Then comes the END, WHEN he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. (The END is speaking of final Day of Judgment AFTER the SECOND and final resurrection at the END of the Millennium.
For you see, that is when the FINAL Day of Judgment will occur. And ONLY those who are found to be righteous in Jesus Christ DURING the Millennium will ALSO be given immortality at the END.
I believe that most of them will be Hebrew Israelites who accept Jesus during the Millennium.
BUT there will also be many of the Gentile nations who will also be saved as well DURING the Millennium.
However, after the final Day of Judgment, no one cast into the lake of fire will be saved by a so-called “purifying” fire.
We are NOT CALLED to PREACH a so-called purifying fire in the lake of fire!
We are NOT called to preach a gospel that says good righteous people who have never even had a chance to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ WILL, without fail, be given a chance to hear the gospel before they are JUDGED.
Romans 1:20 says they are WITHOUT EXCUSE and every person has a CONSCIENCE to know right from wrong!
There is only ONE verse in the Bible that I have found the even remotely hints that RIGHTEOUS good people might be saved by their WORKS ALONE.
But that is NOT the one true GOSPEL that we are CALLED to be preaching.
As far as those who are wicked sinners, NONE of them have any hope of being saved AFTER they have DIED.
The ONLY hope for the unsaved is if the BELIEVE in Jesus as their Lord and Savior BEFORE they DIE.
Again, the END comes after the 1000-year REIGN of Jesus has ENDED)
1 Corinthians 15:25. For he must REIGN, TILL He (Almighty God the Father) has put all enemies under his feet.
1 Corinthians 15:26. The LAST enemy that shall be DESTROY is DEATH. (And we know from Revelation chapter 20 that DEATH will be destroyed in the lake of fire at the END of the 1000-year REIGN of Jesus.
And we also know from Revelation chapter 20 that the SECOND and final resurrection will take place at the END of the Millennium and that there will be ANOTHER Day of Judgment when the REST of the dead are resurrected and JUDGED.
And in that second and final resurrection ONLY there will be some resurrected to everlasting immortal life.
BUT the rest will be resurrected to eternal DESTRUCTION in the lake of fire which is the SECOND DEATH.
So then, the third and FINAL order of people to be saved will take place at the END of the Millennium.
Keep in mind that the final JUDGMENT will take place BEFORE the wicked sinners are cast into the lake of fire.
Therefore, it is IMPOSSIBLE for the lake of fire to be a so-called “refining fire” to supposedly PURGE the wicked sinners from their sin.
To me, that THEORY of the lake of fire purging away sins denies the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross.
It makes Jesus as having died in VAIN and gives the lake of fire the GLORY for saving MOST of humanity)
1 Corinthians 15:27. For he has put all things under his feet. But when he said all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1 Corinthians 15:28. And WHEN all things shall be subdued unto him, (Speaking of the END in verse 24) then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”
Here is another INTERPRETATION of this “cherry-picked” verse right out of it CONTEXT.
And ALL Universalist under every name and brand use this verse as well to TRY and prove that since Jesus DIED for the sins of the WHOLE world, then everyone in the whole world will EVENTUALLY be saved.
BUT yet, SOME Universalist Christians interpret the words to “be saved” DIFFERENTLY.
You will see what I mean by this as you continue to read this verse from a different translation of the Bible.
The CLV translation is a literal word for word translation.
1 Corinthians 15:22 from the CLV translation.
“For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be VIVIFIED.”
Now, what SOME Unitarian Universalist Christians, as well as, SOME from every other group of Universalist Christian do, is that they interpret the Greek word that is translated as “MADE ALIVE” in most translations as being “VIVIFIED”, as you can see in this CLV literal translation.
And they claim that there is a DIFFERENCE being just being made alive to “AIONIAN LIFE” and being VIVIFIED to IMMORTAL life.
In other words, to THEM, the words ETERNAL life and EVERLASTING life do NOT mean IMMORTAL life.
And being VIVIFIED truly means to be given IMMORTALITY.
So then, let me say that again, to THEM, ETERNAL LIFE and IMMORTALITY are NOT the same thing.
If fact, they avoid using the term “eternal life”, like avoiding the plague so to speak.
So, they use the term “eonian or aionian life”, which to them, means only a LONG life, but definitely NOT IMMORTAL life.
In other words, they CLAIM that ALL people will be resurrected to live again. BUT MOST people will be given “eonian life”, while only a FEW people will be “VIVIFIED” to be made IMMORTAL beings to live FOREVER.
And then, EVENTUALLY, according to their erroneous interpretation of the Scriptures, ALL of the rest will be vivified to be given immortal life.
But all Universalist Christians read right OVER the words, in Christ!
They all simply ASSUME that everyone will eventually BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
However, the Bible itself clearly teaches us that God only appointed human beings to die ONE TIME.
And then, immediately after the DEAD are RESURRECTED from the dead they are JUDGED.
In other words, they are NOT given a SECOND chance to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ to be saved.
But rather, they are JUDGED as to whether they were in Jesus Christ the very moment that they DIED or whether they were NOT in Jesus Christ the very moment that they DIED.
Can you not see that 2 Timothy 2:18,19 clearly teaches us that some have ERRORED from the truth and that the foundation of God stands SURE, having this seal?
Yahweh KNOWS them that are His! And thus, we are to teach that every one who names the name of Christ is to depart from iniquity!
For you see, Jesus WARNS us in Revelation 3:4-6 that the names of those who do NOT overcome will be BLOTTED OUT of the book of life.
So then, all of the unsaved will be JUDGED at the FINAL judgment.
And all of the wicked sinners will be JUDGED as UNWORTHY to receive eternal BEFORE they are cast into the lake of fire to be DESTROYED.
And, therefore, that makes it IMPOSSIBLE for the lake of fire to be a so-called purifying refining fire to purge the sins of the wicked.
Can you not see that the SECOND DEATH is called the second DEATH for a reason?
If not, then please read the following studies
In those studies you will learn to know and understand the difference between physical death, spiritual death, and the second death.
But for now, let us continue with this study on learning the TRUE meaning of 1 Corinthians 15:22,23.
Please read Hebrews 9:27.
“And as it is APPOINTED unto men ONCE to DIE, but AFTER THIS the JUDGMENT:”
So then, TODAY is the day of salvation and the NIGHT that is coming is physical death.
There is no more WORK in the grave after a person dies.
And thus, if you are NOT found to be SAVED in Jesus Christ BEFORE you die, then you have NO HOPE of ever being saved.
The resurrection is only the HOPE for those who have died being in a RIGHT relationship with God.
Did you know that the Greek word “Sozo” that is translated as “SAVED” also means to be in a RIGHT relationship with God?
So then, the UNSAVED have NO HOPE of being saved AFTER they die physically.
For you see. they will be resurrected in the SAME unsaved state in which they died.
And they were NOT in a RIGHT relationship with God when they died.
The word “JUDGMENT” does NOT mean hearing the gospel so that you can SEE and BELIEVE that God is real.
But rather, judgment means that one is being TRIED to see if they are worthy or UNWORTHY to receive eternal life.
Please read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
“But I would not have you to be IGNORANT, brethren, CONCERNING them which are ASLEEP, (Or concerning them which have DIED) that YOU (Speaking of ONLY the BRETHREN who are in Jesus Christ the YOU) sorrow not, even as OTHERS which have NO HOPE. (The others here is speaking of those who DIED that are NOT saved in Jesus Christ! Clearly, the Apostle Paul is WARNING us who believe the OTHERS who do not believe have NO HOPE after they DIE)
1 Thessalonians 4:14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
1 Thessalonians 4:15. For this, we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that WE which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (Or we will not be changed from mortal to immortal BEFORE them who died in Jesus Christ)
1 Thessalonians 4:16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Thessalonians 4:17. Then WE which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (And again, the pronouns “we” and “them” refer only to the BELIEVERS in Jesus Christ)
1 Thessalonians 4:18 Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.”
Now, the unsaved who SURVIVE the WRATH of God at the coming of Jesus by repenting and calling upon God to be saved alive physically will go into the Millennial reign of Jesus in their mortal bodies to be TAUGHT the gospel of Jesus Christ
But even during the 1000-year reign of Jesus, once a person dies WITHOUT being saved in Jesus Christ, then there is NO HOPE for them to be saved anymore.
Now, one might “think” how could they not believe when they get to see with their own eye the Lord Jesus Christ?
You have to consider what they just witnessed with their own eyes.
They will have just seen Jesus SLAY all of the people who refused to believe in God.
And some of those people might very well be their family, their father, their mother, their son or daughter, their brother or their sister who will be SLAIN by Jesus and only they repented.
The LOST are WITHOUT Jesus! And those WITHOUT Jesus are WITHOUT Almighty God the Father!
The Jews believe in the God of Abraham, but they are WITHOUT Jesus.
And thus, the Jews are NOT SAVED! According to James 2:19, the devils believe in God, but they TREMBLE knowing that they are going to be cast into the lake of fire to be destroyed.
Ephesians 2:12.
“That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having NO HOPE, and WITHOUT God in the world:”
There is NO SECOND CHANCE for the wicked sinners to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ so that they can believe the word of TRUTH to be saved AFTER a sinner dies.
Jesus said in John 3:16-18 that they are ALREADY CONDEMNED BECAUSE they do NOT BELIEVE in the Son of God. And there is no hope of hearing the word of truth to be saved in the GRAVE.
Jesus has already preached to the dead and he is NOT going to do it again.
That was a ONE TIME opportunity for the RIGHTEOUS who died BEFORE the cross and resurrection.
One must read INTO 1 Peter 3:19,20 the “Universalist” interpretation that Jesus is going to preach to the dead AGAIN at the end of the Millennial reign of Jesus.
Now read Isaiah 38:18,19.
“For the grave cannot praise you, death can not celebrate you: they that go down into the pit can NOT HOPE FOR your TRUTH.
Isaiah 38:19. The LIVING, the LIVING, he shall praise you, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known your truth.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10.
“Whatsoever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; (NOW while you are still LIVING) for there is NO work, NOR device, NOR knowledge, NOR wisdom, in the grave, where you go.”
Also, read Psalm 88:10-12, that ask several rhetorical questions, to which the obvious answer is NO!
Psalm 88:10-12.
“Will you show wonders to the dead? Shall the dead arise and praise you? Selah.
Psalm 88:11. Shall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in destruction?
Psalm 88:12. Shall your wonders be known in the dark? And your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?”
And the obvious sound Biblical answer to all these questions is a NO!
Can you not see my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ that Satan has an AGENDA behind his doctrine of devils called Universalism, which wrongly teaches that everyone will eventually be saved?
And Satan’s agenda is to place FALSE HOPE in those who want to live after their flesh THINKING that they can enjoy the pleasures of sin now in the present world and still be saved in the end.
Plain and simple, Universalism is a doctrine of devils.
Can you not see that while YOU yourself may already be a truly born-again Christian, others who are NOT may still hear your “false” gospel of FALSE HOPE?
In other words, those who are not saved could still hear that no matter what religion they believe, they can SUPPOSEDLY rest assured that they will eventually be saved, according to YOUR false gospel.
And that is exactly what Satan wants the UNSAVED to believe.
Satan knows that the name JESUS is the ONLY NAME given among men whereby we MUST be saved.
My point is that the false gospel of everyone being saved is NOT the one and only TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the only gospel that has the POWER to save.
And we are called to preach only the TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ.
And IF SO BE that God chooses to save good honest righteous people by their WORKS ALONE without believing in Jesus, then that will be great.
But that is NOT the GOSPEL that Christians are called to preach or teach!
So then, if you are WRONG in your INTERPRETATION of the Scriptures and that gospel of everyone being saved is indeed a gospel teaching false hope, then WHO will be held accountable for those who were DECEIVED by YOUR false gospel of a FALSE hope that everyone will eventually be saved?
To me, the Bible ITSELF clearly teaches us that once a person who does not accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior DIES physically, then all hope is GONE for them to ever be saved.
And the JUDGMENT of the LOST will be eternal DESTRUCTION in the lake of fire.
Here is something for Universalist Christians to ponder upon.
If everyone will be saved, then why did the very Apostle of Jesus willingly SUFFER persecution and being martyred for the sake of the gospel?
I mean, why would a Muslim risk being beheaded for their faith in Jesus if it was true that they could keep their faith in Jesus a SECRET and NOT confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior and still be saved and you CLAIM?
And why would those living in the world as a sinner obey the gospel to overcome sin if they could sin in a sinful lifestyle and still be saved?
And what about YOU as a Universalist Christian? Why do YOU do your best to resist living in sin if you TRULY believe that you will STILL be saved if you stopped resisting temptation to sin and you went back to enjoying a lifestyle of living in the pleasures of sin?
I mean, if your TRULY believe you can have BOTH, salvation and living in the PLEASURES of sin, then why do you SUFFER temptation?
It is because no Universalist TRULY BELIEVES that THEY will be saved if they go back to living in a lifestyle of sin!
So then, those who incorrectly DIVIDE the word of TRUTH of Almighty God by DIVIDING the inheritance into TWO different inheritances of LIFE are teaching Satan’s agenda.
Again, SOME Universalist Christians CLAIM that ETERNAL LIFE is NOT ETERNAL LIFE or IMMORTAL LIFE simply because the Greek word translated as eternal does not ALWAYS mean eternal.
So, to them, it seems that the Greek word “aionos” can NEVER mean eternal.
Or, at least, when it comes to ETERNAL LIFE, it can never mean ETERNAL, as in, being made “immortal” to never die again.
And their line of reasoning for this interpretation is 1 Corinthians 15:22, which is translated as MADE ALIVE in the King James Bible. They claim that being made alive is NOT the same thing as simply being RESURRECTED.
For you see, to THEM, people who are simply resurrected can die again.
And yes, there is truth in that, because people that have been resurrection by Jesus, his Apostle, and his disciples throughout the history of the church, have died physically again.
God raised my first wife from the dead through me commanding life to return to her body in the NAME of Jesus. And she lived another 16 years and died again.
BUT, to those CERTAIN Universalist Christians, EVERYONE is resurrected and given LIFE.
And they argue that MOST are given “eonian life”, while only SOME Christians are VIVIFIED to have IMMORTAL LIFE or immortality never to die again.
It seems like there is a pattern connected with FALSE doctrines, and that commonality is there is an ELITE group of Christians that are BETTER than all other Christians.
Here is a quote that I found on a website that WRONGLY teaches almost everything.
Now, a brother in the Lord, who is a Universalist, wrote to me to thank me for the studies that I had, which he AGREED with.
And he gave me a link to “his” website. He said that he disagreed with me on some other doctrines that I teach are false teachings.
But he did not say which doctrines that he disagreed with, so I was curious and went to his website.
And I found that he disagreed with practically EVERYTHING that I believe and teach.
The following is some of what he wrongly teaches. The emphasis is mine.
Be aware as you read, for he starts his second paragraph mocking sarcastically.
And then, when he says “But enough, it is not true”, then he stops mocking.
His understanding of what it means to be a TRUE Christian is FLAWED.
He THINKS that Christians are SINNERS in the eyes of Almighty God, and that we have DEFECTS in our character.
So, he WRONGLY believes that AT the resurrection Christians WILL BE PURIFIED and made righteous before God.
In other words, to him, he wrongly understands that God sees Christians as being SINNERS as opposed to God seeing the RIGHTEOUSNESS that God gave to us as a GIFT to be righteous in HIS eyes even through to others we seem as hypocrites because they do not see us repent of our sins.
Obviously, he does NOT believe that Christians can live without sin in this present world.
Here is what he wrote.
We consider, and rightly too, that our resurrection AND vivification will be an essential part of our salvation.
It will be the crowning glory of our deliverance.
Yet, when the same mighty power of God acts on behalf of the unbeliever, resurrection becomes damnation AND vivification death!
These, we are told, will have no effect on the character of the unbeliever at all!
Since that is so it logically follows that character is not affected by resurrection or vivification, and, as a result, the saints will have just the same character in glory which they have today.
(Remember that he also says that the saints are SINNERS in the eyes of God and that all Christians have flaws in their character)
The transformation will be entirely physical, not moral or spiritual. Our likeness to Christ will be limited to the brilliancy of our appearance.
All the heartbreaking defects in our characters will be with us still, only unutterably more apparent and painful in His presence.
But enough! It is not true! Every experience through which we pass affects our characters, even in the present life.
And we may rest assured that our character, how I hate to use a non-scriptural term!, will accord with the presence of His glory.
Our resurrection and vivification are simultaneous, but the unbeliever will be raised long before he is vivified.
(Now, he just got through saying that BOTH the resurrection and vivification happen at the SAME TIME. Then he CONTRADICTS himself by saying that the unbeliever will be resurrected LONG BEFORE they are “vivified”)
The change which eventuates in the ultimate salvation of the unbeliever is wrought, not only by his resurrection, but by the august judgment session, when he stands in the presence of Christ, with all his unbelief swept away by the awful realization of His power and the justice of His throne.
We are asked, Is it possible for them to repent? Rather, we would like to know, Is it possible for them not to repent, or change their minds? We cannot conceive an unrepentant sinner before the great white throne.
God's thoughts and man's imaginations are nowhere more at variance than on the subject of judgment, or punishment. God is love: man is hate.
Now, let us DISSECT what this brother in the Lord has said. Let us start with his false assumption that God is love can ONLY mean ONE thing.
And that one thing, according to all Universalist, is that because God is love then he could never permanently DESTROY ANY of his creation.
So, the word “destroy”, to them, does NOT mean destroy. But rather, to THEM, to DESTROY means to restore.
You see, that kind of interpreting of the Scriptures only uses select “cherry-picked” verses taken OUT of their CONTEXT, as opposed to using the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
For example, according to the whole word of Almighty God, our LOVING God is also a JUST God, who is ALSO a CONSUMING FIRE to DESTROY the wicked in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment at the END of the Millennium.
Just before a TRIAL begins, the judge asks the one about to be tried, “How to you plea?”
And the one being judged will either say they are GUILTY or they will maintain that they are innocent or NOT guilty.
And thus, when we became Christians, we admitted that we were GUILTY.
But the unsaved maintain that they are NOT guilty. So then, the TRIAL actually began when we committed our first sin, for we ALL have sinned.
And that is why we all have come short of the glory of God.
Now, the main argument of all Universalist Christians is that they cannot IMAGE anyone NOT REPENTING when they can SEE God and know of the GLORY that was set before them.
Well, the TRUTH is that there will be PLENTY of REPENTING.
For you see, they will WEEP bitterly knowing what they might have received.
And they will GNASH their teeth knowing that they will be cast into the lake of fire to be consumed to ASHES.
So then, that argument of no sinner repenting on the final Day of Judgment does not hold water.
God will never FORCE anyone to be saved. God has given us the FREEDOM to CHOOSE.
And that freedom to make our OWN choice about things is called FREE WILL.
But many who have been deceived by this false doctrine of everyone being saved, do NOT truly believe in FREE WILL.
The Bible itself teaches us that we must have the FEAR of the Lord.
And knowing that God is also a CONSUMING fire for those who are disobedient to the true gospel of Jesus Christ then that FEAR is to PERSUADE people to make the RIGHT choice to choose God's so great a salvation, and to NOT NEGLECT God's so great a salvation, according to Hebrews 2:3.
For you see, the everlasting fire was prepared for Satan, the Devil and the fallen angels who obviously did not repent for waging a war against their Creator.
Hebrews 12:29.
“For our God is a CONSUMING fire”
And not just a fire to punish the wicked TEMPORARILY while the are supposedly being cleansed and purified.
But rather, the lake of fire will be a CONSUMING fire to DEVOUR and utterly DESTROY and utterly CONSUME the wicked to ASHES, never to rise again.
Psalm 140:10.
“Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the FIRE; into deep pits, that they rise NOT up again.”
So then, once the wicked are cast into the lake of fire, they are NOT coming back out to be raised up again.
Now, going back to this brother in the Lord that is a Universalist Christian, his first assumption is that he wrongly believes that Christians are still sinners.
As in, to him, a Christian’s “CHARACTER” will not be perfect.
Or, as he claims, a Christians character will “VIVIFIED”, until God makes it perfect at our CHANGE from mortal to immortal.
But what this brother in the Lord fails to see is that Christians ARE PERFECT each time we confess our sins.
Remember that his whole argument for vivification is that only Christians in this present world will be made perfect in “CHARACTER” BY vivification.
And in truth, vivification in the CONTEXT of 1 Corinthian 15: meaning being given ETERNAL LIFE.
So then, the dead in Jesus Christ BY being resurrected to be made alive or quickened at the coming of Jesus means to be CHANGED from mortal to made IMMORTAL.
And thus, he wrongly believes that the CHARACTER of a BELIEVER in Jesus will be made perfect in an INSTANT of time at the resurrection of the dead in Jesus Christ.
And he also wrongly believes that at the white throne resurrection which is when the final judgment will take place, then those people will be resurrected to live again with an “eonian or aionian life”.
And, according to him and other Universalist Christians, their character will be change GRADUALLY and NOT instantaneously like those in the FIRST resurrection.
And, therefore, according to him and many others, the resurrection restores mortal life only and “vivification” makes our character perfect.
At least that is what I understand him to be teaching. But it is not JUST him.
He quotes others from several different websites who believe and teach many of the same things.
He calls himself a Mid-Acts Hyper dispensationalist. And, according to him, that means that he believes that there are TWO different gospels being taught in the New Testament, one gospel for the Gentiles and another gospel for the Jews.
For all the Scriptures that prove there is only ONE TRUE Gospel of Jesus Christ that has the power to SAVE both the Jews and the Gentiles, please read the study called Dd-75. ARE THERE TWO GOSPELS?
He also believes that God ordained everything that happens before the world began.
Therefore, to him and many other Christians, everyone is PREDESTINED to be saved. Well, enough about him.
All anyone needs to do in order to KNOW that 1 Corinthians 15:22,23 is NOT teaching Universalism where everyone will be saved is to read verse 19.
1 Corinthians 15:19.
“IF in this life ONLY WE have hope in Christ, WE are of ALL men most miserable.”
First of all, Paul is arguing against those who claim that there is NO resurrection.
Paul is saying, well if that is true, then Christians are worse off than the vilest sinner because at least they are enjoying the pleasures of sin in this present world.
In other words, Paul is CONTRASTING the DIFFERENCE between those in the world to those who have their HOPE in Jesus Christ to NOT partake of the worldly pleasure of sin that ALL other people who are NOT BELIEVERS IN Jesus partake of.
Then Paul says in the same CONTEXT that follows verse 19 that Jesus is indeed risen from the dead to become the first of the firstfruits unto God.
In other words, Jesus is the firstborn eternal Son of God and has become the firstborn of many brethren.
Paul is saying that because of Jesus all men will be resurrected and JUDGED BY the words that he spoke under the New Covenant written in the New Testament.
So then, the entire CONTEXT of 1 Corinthians 15:22,23 is about COMPARING the unsaved with those who have HOPE in Jesus Christ to be resurrected to immortality as opposed to being resurrected to eternal destruction in the lake of fire.
Come on my dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, THINK for yourselves.
For you see, both death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire to be DESTROYED so that there will be NO MORE DEATH.
So, since DEATH will be destroyed in the LAKE OF FIRE then that means that Satan and the fallen angels will be DESTROYED in the lake of fire which also means that ALL those judged to be UNWORTHY to receive immortality will be DESTROYED in the lake of fire as well.
Let us read 1 Corinthians 15:20-24 again.
“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (So the context is talking about becoming the firstfruits unto God. Jesus is the first person to become the firstfruits unto God)
1 Corinthians 15:21. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. (Now, while it is true that sin entered the world because of the one man Adam and death came upon all men because we ALL have sinned, it is not true that every person will be given eternal life or immortality because of the one man Jesus Christ.
Yes, the one sacrifice that Jesus made has provided the WAY for all men to be saved but that does NOT mean that all men will, without fail, BELIEVE the one true Gospel of Jesus Christ to become saved.
And while it is true that God will JUDGE every man BY the man, Jesus Christ, it is NOT true that every man will be found RIGHTEOUS in Jesus Christ because not all men will BELIEVE in Jesus as the atonement for their sins.
In other words, ONLY the ALL of whosoever BELIEVES in Jesus as their Savior are made righteous in Jesus Christ.
And God will judge all men BY THAT RIGHTEOUSNESS of Jesus Christ that is RECEIVED as God’s GIFT BY the FAITH exercised by the ALL of whosoever believes)
1 Corinthians 15:22. For as in Adam all die, even so, in Christ shall all be made alive. (Or more precisely, ever so, in Christ shall the ALL speaking of the ALL of whosoever BELIEVES in Jesus to be saved shall be made alive to become FIRSTFRUITS unto God along WITH Jesus who has already become the FIRST of the firstfruits unto God.
So then, Paul is SPECIFICALLY speaking about the resurrection of the dead in Jesus Christ to become FIRSTFRUITS unto God)
1 Corinthians 15:23. But every man in his own order: (Then Paul list THREE and ONLY THREE orders. Order #1) Christ the firstfruits; (So then, we all agree that the Son of man, Jesus has ALREADY been resurrected and VIVIFIED to be CHANGED from mortal to IMMORTAL. Now come Order #2) AFTERWARDS (Or NEXT to become FIRSTFRUITS are those) that ARE Christ's at his COMING. (Meaning that ONLY those who are ALREADY made PERFECT BY the shed blood of Jesus will become FIRSTFRUIT unto God along WITH Jesus who has already become the FIRST of the firstfruits of God.
And this SECOND group that will become firstfruits unto God will take place at the FIRST resurrection at the COMING of Jesus right before the 1000-year reign of Jesus.
And then, the THIRD and FINAL order of people that will become firstfruits will take place at the END of the 1000-year reign of Jesus. Order #3)
1 Corinthians 15:24. Then comes the END, WHEN he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.”
Now, if one INTERPRETS the word “ALL” in verse 22 to mean every single human being is made alive in the SAME way that Jesus was made alive to become FIRSTFRUITS unto God, then that means their INTERPRETATION of eternal life NOT meaning eternal is WRONG!
And that means that those Universalist Christians CONTRADICT themselves.
For you see, in truth, there is NO difference between eonian life and immortal life.
And in THIS context the ALL is referring to the ALL in Jesus Christ being made alive and NOT every human being that will indeed be resurrected will be resurrected to eternal life.
And how do we know this with absolute certainty? We know that neither Jesus nor God is a LIAR and they both said that SOME will be resurrected to EVERLASTING LIFE and SOME will be resurrected to SHAME and EVERLASTING CONTEMPT.
And contempt means that a person is judged to be BELOW being considered worthy of receiving eternal life or immortality.
Contempt means to be WORTHLESS and NOT meet for the master’s use. Jesus said that when salt has lost its savor then it becomes WORTHLESS.
Please read Matthew 5:13.
“You are the salt of the earth: BUT if the salt has LOST his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? IT is thenceforth good for NOTHING, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”
In other words, it has become WORTHLESS and thus it will be cast out. Jesus is comparing what happens to WORTHLESS salt to Christians who have lost their first love to return back from living in sin.
So, how can a SINNER who does not know God be found worthy of eternal life when Christians who LOSE their savor will be cast out?
Also, read Luke 14:34,35.
“Salt is good: but if the salt has LOST his savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
Luke 14:35. It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
So, GOOD people who LOSE their goodness so to speaking by sinning are not FIT for anything and they will be cast out.
Let those who have ears to hear then let them UNDERSTAND that it is better for a person to have NOT KNOWN the love of God to be in Jesus Christ than for someone who is in Jesus but they have LOST their first love to return to their old lifestyle of living in sin.
Please read 2 Peter 2:20,21.
“For if AFTER they have escaped the pollutions of the world THROUGH the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are AGAIN entangled therein, (Meaning being deceived by the deceitfulness of sin to become entangled back into the temptation of sin) and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2 Peter 2:21. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.”
Now to ME, this verse and many, MANY others verses simply do NOT FIT with the INTERPRETATION of the few “CHERRY-PICKED” verses OUT of their context to mean that EVERYONE will eventually be saved.
It is not possible for something to be WORSE for a Christian who has LOST their savor than for a SINNER who has never known the truth IF SO BE that EVERYONE will eventually be saved in the end.
Can you not see that Paul gave THREE ORDERS and NOT FOUR orders of becoming firstfruits?
Can you not see that the final JUDGMENT takes place BEFORE the wicked sinners are CAST OUT INTO the lake of fire?
So, in order for the lake of fire to be a refining fire that purges the unsaved from their sins to become saved, then there MUST be a FOURTH ORDER of becoming firstfruits.
For you see, those judged to be RIGHTEOUS at the final judgment will NOT be CAST INTO the lake of fire.
But not ALL will be judged righteous at the White Throne Judgment.
I implore all those of you who believe that everyone will eventually be saved to read ALL the studies that I have on this subject.

And what some Christians THINK predestination means is not at all Biblical!
