Proverbs 30:4 Is a PROPHECY of Jesus!
***What Does Proverbs 30:4 TRULY mean?
Here is Proverbs 30:4 from the KJV. “Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?”
Notice the five QUESTIONS being asked in this verse of Scripture.
Notice that there are TWO separate persons, the Father and His Son.
But what some Christian have NOT noticed or kept in mind is Ecclesiastes 3:15, Ecclesiastes 1:9-11, and Matthew 24:21, which teach us that the WRATH of God that happen in a previous age will happen again at the coming of Jesus.
And will happen a third and FINAL time at the END of the 1000-year reign of Jesus to put and END to ALL EVIL for all eternity future after the final Day of Judgment.

God’s HUMAN Son Has ASCENDED INTO GLORY!
SECTION ONE
In this verse study, I want to focus on different aspects of this verse of Scripture.
So, I will divide it into sections or parts. Here in part one or section one, I want to focus on WHO ASCENDED up into heaven and WHY he ascended into heaven.
Let us begin this study in God’s word by reading Proverbs 30:4 from the King James Version of the Bible.
I will substitute the old English word “hath” with the modern English verb “has”.
I only do this so that the King James Version is easier to understand for some on my readers.
I will also capitalize the Pronoun “His” when it is referring to Almighty God the Father, the Creator of the universe.
I will also capitalize the word “Son’s” in the phrase “what is His Son’s name?”
For you see, the Creator’s Son, who we all agree is Jesus, was GIVEN to have preeminence over the sons and daughters of God, the church.
And I will also emphasize the word “NAME” by placing it in all caps.
I do this to emphasis the fact that the Son of MAN, Jesus was GIVEN a NEW NAME after the cross and resurrection.
And that is WHEN the Son of God ASCENDED into heaven the FIRST time and descended back down the very same day to show himself alive for 40 days.
Again, some Christian have never been taught the WHOLE word of God.
And thus, some Christians do not know or even realize that Jesus ascended into heaven TWICE.
The first time was right after Jesus talked to Mary Magdalene and he told her to NOT TOUCH him.
And, according to John 20:17, the reason he told her that was because he had not yet ASCENDED up into heaven to his God and Father.
John 20:17.
“Jesus said unto her, (Or Jesus said unto Mary Magdalene on the morning that God raised him from the dead) Touch me NOT; (WHY? Why did Jesus tell Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him, when that SAME evening, according to Luke 24:39, he told his disciples to HANDLE him or to TOUCH him? Jesus gives us the answer right here) FOR (Or BECAUSE) I am not yet ASCENDED to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ASCEND unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”
Then, that same DAY in the evening, the now GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus DESCENDED back down to show himself alive for forty days.
And after he descended back down to the earth, Jesus told his disciples to HANDLE me or touch me and see that it is me.
In other words, Jesus said TOUCH me and prove to yourselves that I am ALIVE for evermore, never to die again.
Then forty days later, the Son of MAN, Jesus ASCENDED back up into heaven where he was before just forty days ago, when he ascended into heaven the FIRST time to be GLORIFIED by his God and Father.
In other words, the only BEGOTTEN Son from the DEAD was RECEIVED UP into heaven to be SEATED at the right hand of his God and Father.

Some Christians, particularly Trinitarian Christians and Oneness Pentecostal Christians, have never been taught that the Son of MAN, Jesus, RECEIVED all power and authority from his God and Father AFTER the cross and resurrection.
We will cover those verses that give the PROPHECY and the verses that show WHEN those prophecies were FULFILLED.
But first, I want to explain a few things in this introduction of section one.
Also, I will highlight that name of the Creator in orange and the name of the Creator’s Son in light blue to show that TWO separate persons are being spoken of in this verse of Scripture.
I will highlight the word “AND” in green to show that the Creator is NOT the same person as His Son.
I also use the color green to show ADDED words that are NOT in the original text, to emphasis word that are “incorrectly” translated, and also to show ERRORS of interpretation.
Again, what I highlight in yellow, when referring to Jesus, is to show the HUMAN Jesus DURING the days of his FLESH before the God and Father of Jesus GAVE His human Son the Divine nature of ETERNAL LIFE.
Here is Proverbs 30:4 from the King James Version.
“Who has ASCENDED up into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, AND what is His Son’s name, if you can tell?”
Now, some Christians interpret this verse of Scripture to mean that God’s literal already existing PRE-EXISTING Son.
In other words, Trinitarian Christians WRONGLY INTERPRET Proverbs 30:4 as being God the Son, the second person of a Trinity Godhead, who FIRST descended down from heaven and was manifested, incarnate, or made to become flesh.
HOWEVER, to me, I myself see that the first question being asked is who has ASCENDED up into heaven!
In other words, Agur, a fanciful name for Solomon, the writer of Proverbs, is asking the question, “Who ascended up into heaven and will be descending down from heaven to execute the WRATH of Almighty God the Father.”
Proverbs 30:4 does NOT say, “Who descended down from heaven FIRST, became a man, and then ascended back up to heaven where the Son was before, and who is going to descend again.”
To me, that is READING INTO this verse one’s own preconceived belief.
And that is ADDING to the word of God, which God WARNS us not to do in the very CONTEXT of this verse.
Please read Proverbs 30:5,6.
“Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
Proverbs 30:6. Add you NOT unto His words, lest He reprove you, and you are found a liar.”
Let us read the first question in Proverbs 30:4 by itself from a LITERAL translation.
I do this because I want to FOCUS on all of the verses in the Bible referring to the Messiah ASCENDING up into heaven and WHY.
Here is the LITERAL translation of Proverbs 30:4a.
“Who he ASCENDED heavens and he is descending…”
Now, I already shared a little about the Son of MAN. Jesus, ASCENDING to his God and Father in the morning that God raised him from the dead.
And in John 3:13, we see the first half of the first question having already been fulfilled when the Son of MAN ASCENDED into heaven to be seated at the right hand of Almighty God the Father.
And now, we are waiting for the second half ot the first question in Proverbs 30:4 to be FULFILLED.
In other words, Proverbs 30:4a will be fulfilled when the now highly exalted human Son of man, Jesus, to be DESCENDING from heaven as God’s King of kings and Lord of lords to execute the WRATH of God.
John 3:13.
“And no MAN has ASCENDED up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of MAN which is in heaven.”
Please notice that this verse does NOT say, “And no God the Son has ascended up to heaven, but the Divine God the Son that came down from heaven, even God the Son which is in heaven.”
Again, some Trinitarian Christians may not know that the Son of MAN, Jesus, ASCENDED to the Father up in heaven TWICE.
The FIRST time was right after talking to Mary Magdalene the morning that God raised him from the dead.
Jesus told Mary Magdalene to NOT TOUCH him BECAUSE he had not yet ASCENDED to his God and Father.
And then, the now GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, DESCENDED down from heaven that SAME day in the evening, according to Luke.
Notice that the SAME DAY that he told Mary Magdalene to NOT touch him, Jesus now tells his disciples to HANDLE him or to TOUCH him to prove to them that he was NOT a spirit.
And then, forty days later, the now HIGHLY EXALTED GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, ASCENDED into heaven to be seated at the right hand of his God and Father.
All of that was the FULFILLMENT of the first part of the PROPHECY in Proverbs 30:4 a.
And now, we are waiting for the FULFILLMENT of the second have of that prophecy of the Son DESCENDING from heaven.
The FULFILLMENT of Proverbs 30:4a will be when the highly exalted Son of MAN, Jesus, is descending from heaven at the coming of Jesus to rapture the church, execute the WRATH of God, and then rule as God, in the NAME of Yahweh, FOR his God and Father for 1000 years.
Now, I cover John in more detail in the study called V-32. When Did Jesus DESCEND Down from Heaven?
But in part two of this three-part verse study, I also want to focus on the last two questions in Proverbs 30:4 that are asking what is the Creator’s NAME and what is His Son’s NAME, if you can tell?
For you see, some Christans do not know that Jesus was given a NEW NAME after the cross.
But first, let us finish section one and remain focused on the prophecies and fulfillments of God’s Messiah ASCENDING up into heaven to be SEATED at his God and Father’s right hand on the Father’s throne.
Let us read John 13:1,3.
“Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should DEPART OUT of this world unto the Father, having loved his OWN which were in the world, he loved them unto the end…
…John 13:3. Jesus knowing that the Father had GIVEN all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;”
Or more correctly translated, “Jesus having PERCEIVED that all us GIVEN into his hands of the Father and that was PROCEEDING FORTH BECAUSE of God even to go to the SIDE of God.”
Jesus got up and washed his disciple’s feet.
Let us continue reading in the next chapter of John about Jesus GOING TO the Father.
John 14:1-3,12.
“Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe ALSO in me.
John 14:2. In my Father’s house are many mansions: (Or more correctly translated, in my Father’s FAMILY there are many places of AUTHORITY) if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a PLACE for you.
John 14:3. And if I go and prepare a PLACE for you, I will come again, and RECEIVE you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be ALSO…
…John 14:12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me, the WORKS that I do shall he do ALSO; and greater works than these shall he do; BECAUSE I GO INTO my Father.
Jesus went to the CROSS to CLEANSE whosoever BELIEVES on the NAME of the only BEGOTTEN Son so that the Holy Spirit could come and DWELL in us.
So then, the PLACE Jesus went to PREPARE for us was PLACE of authority and power being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Keep in mind that Jesus was given the FULNESS of the Godhead or the fulness of DEITY after the cross and resurrection.
And when Jesus comes AGAIN to RECEIVE us to himself, then we ALSO will be given the SAME GLORY that God gave to His human Son Jesus, according to John 17:22.
Skip down to verse 28 and 29 and continue reading.
John 14:28,29.
“You have heard how I said unto you, I GO AWAY, and COME AGAIN unto you. (First, Jesus went to the CROSS to die for the sins of the whole world.
Then Jesus came again or rose from the dead, but no one saw him yet except for Mary Magdalene.
And right after Jesus talked to Mary Magdalene, Jesus ASCENDED up into heaven to his God and Father, according to John.
Then the now GLORIFIED Son of MAN, Jesus, CAME AGAIN to his disciples that same day in the EVENING, according to Luke) If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I said, I GO UNTO the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
John 14:29. And now I have told you BEFORE it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you might believe.”
The whole context from the end of John chapter 13, all the way through John chapter 17, is about Jesus going to the cross, ASCENDING to the Father, being GLORIFIED.
And be glorified means to be given the FULLNESS of DEITY.
Then the glorified Son of MAN, Jesus, descended back down to show himself alive for forty days to his disciples.
Then after the forty days, he was RECEIVED UP into heaven to be SEATED at the SIDE of God to await his second COMING to RULE as the God over the whole earth for 1000 years
Let us skip to John 16:5 and read through verse 7 so you can see that the whole CONTEXT is about PROCEEDING FORTH to God.
John 16:5-7.
“But now I go my way to Him that sent me; and none of you ASK me, Where are you going?
John 16:6. But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.
John 16:7. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is EXPEDIENT for YOU that I GO AWAY: for if I go NOT away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I DEPART, I will send Him unto you.
The Comforter is the Holy Spirit who is the Father, the Eternal Spirit.
For you see, in John 14:10, Jesus said that the FATHER DWELT in him and that it was the Father who did the works.
Let us continue with verse 16.
John 16:16.
“A little while, and you shall NOT see me: and again, a little while, (After three days and three nights) and you shall see me, BECAUSE I go to the Father.
Again, Jesus is still talking about going to the cross first to CLEANSE our vessels for sin so that the Holy Spirit can come and DWELL in us.
Thus, the LITTLE while in the three days and the three nights in the heart of the earth.
Then Jesus was raised from the dead and ASCENDED into heaven to be GLORIFIED and to be GIVEN ALL power and authority from his God and Father.
But his disciples were not yet UNDERSTANDING what Jesus was telling them until verse 29.
John 16:25-30.
“These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall SHOW you plainly of the Father.
John 16:26. At that day you shall ask (Or COMMAND the ENEMY) in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
John 16:27. For the Father Himself loves you, BECAUSE you have loved me, and have BELIEVED that I came out from God.
John 16:28. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. (Again, the CONTEXT all of the way through John chapter 14 through John chapter 17 is about Jesus going to the CROSS first, coming back from the DEAD, ASCENDING to his God and Father, being GLORIFIED, descending back down for forty days to show himself alive never to die again, and the PROCEEDING FORTH to be seated at the right hand of God.
Therefore, in the LIGHT of the CONTEXT, I believe that John 16:27,28 should read as follows)
John 16:27. For the Father Himself loves you, BECAUSE you have loved me, and have BELIEVED that I PROCEED FORTH to God. (Right after being resurrected from the DEAD)
John 16:28. I PROCEED FORTH from the Father, and am come into the world again, (After being GLORIFIED and GIVEN all power and authority. Then after showing myself alive for forty days) I leave the world, and go to the Father. (To be SEATED at His right hand)
John 16:29. His disciples said unto him, Lo, NOW you speak PLAINLY and do not speak in proverbs.
John 16:30. NOW are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.”
Or more correctly translated, “Now we are SURE that you have PERCEIVED all things, and there is no need that any man should ask you ABOUT this.
We BELIEVE that you will PROCEED FORTH before or by God.
After the Son of God was BEGOTTEN from the DEAD, God RECEIVED His ONLY BEGOTTEN Son up into heaven to be seated on His throne at the right hand SIDE.
God so loved the world that He RECEIVED His only BEGOTTEN Son.
And God did that so that whosoever BELIEVES on the NAME of the only BEGOTTEN Son should NOT perish, but also receive ETERNAL LIFE.
So, we all agree that the Father’s NAME is YHWH. And most Christians believe that the NAME of Almighty God the Father is pronounced as Yahweh.
To understand WHY most Christians do NOT believe that Jehovah is God’s true name, please read the study Z-8. Is Jehovah God’s TRUE NAME?
And we all know that the name of the Son of God is Jesus, some Christian prefer the Hebrew name Yeshua.
But not all Christians have been taught that Jesus was given a NEW NAME after the cross and resurrection.
So, if you do not know what the NEW NAME of Jesus is, then I encourage you to read the two-part study D-23. What is the NEW NAME of Jesus? Part 1.
With what you have learned in this study, I want you to pray the following prayer in the Scriptures for yourself and for those God leads you to share this truth.
Cease not from BELIEVING what you pray and give thanks to God for yourself and for others,
Ephesians 1:17. THAT the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: (Speaking of the now GLORIFIED Son of God)
Ephesians 1:18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, (Jesus RECEIVED GIFTS of the Holy Spirit to give to us as the saints or holy ones in Jesus)
Ephesians 1:19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power,
Ephesians 1:20. Which He wrought (Or which Almighty God activated) in Christ, WHEN He raised him from the dead, and SET him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, (In other words, Jesus was GIVEN all power and authority AFTER the cross and resurrection, according to Matthew 28:18.
If was after the cross that it PLEASED the Father that all of the FULNESS of DEITY should dwell in him.
Thus, the Bible itself teaches us that Almighty God MADE His HUMAN Son to be a Lord, a King and a God to RULE over the whole earth for 1000 years during the world to come.
So then, God RECEIVED His only BEGOTTEN Son from the dead and SET him on His throne at Jis own right hand)
Ephesians 1:21. FAR ABOVE all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Ephesians 1:22. And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Ephesians 1:23. Which is his body, the fulness of Him that fills all in all.”
Let me now summarize or review what we just covered.
In John 14:1, Jesus comforts, exhorts, or tells Peter not to be troubled.
So, the first thing is to ask yourself the question, Troubled about WHAT?
The answer to that question is in John 13:36-38)
John 13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, you cannot follow me NOW; but you shall follow me afterwards. (The Greek word that is translated as “whither” is usually understood to mean where, a place, to whom I go, or where I go.
But in this context, it is better understood as WHY I go?
In other words, Jesus is saying to Peter, you should be asking WHY I am going instead of WHERE I am going.
For you see, you can NOT follow me NOW, But AFTER I go, then you will be ABLE to follow me)
John 13:37. Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow you now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.
John 13:38. Jesus answered him, Will you lay down your life for my sake? Verily, verily, I say unto you, The cock shall not crow, till you have denied me thrice.”
Now, John 14:1 makes sense. Allow me to paraphrase it for you.
“Peter, do not let your heart be troubled about NOT being able to follow me UNTIL I GO to the place I am going.
John 14:2. For you see, in my Father’s FAMILY there are many "MONE" or many ABODES for the Spirit of God to DWELL in. If this was not the reason for WHY I must go and do what God has shown me to do, I would have told you.
For you see, the REASON I am going to the CROSS is to PREPARE a PLACE for you so that you WILL be ABLE to lay down your life for my sake if asked to do so.”

Apparently a primary word; a spot (generally in space, but limited by occupancy; whereas G5561 is a larger but particular locality), that is, location (as a position, home, tract, etc.); figuratively condition, opportunity; specifically a scabbard: - coast, licence, place, X plain, quarter, + rock, room, where.
Total KJV occurrences: 92.
John 14:3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, (Or I will LIVE AGAIN) and receive you unto myself; that (Or the REASON I am going to the cross is in ORDER THAT) where I am, (Speaking of the PLACE of AUTHORITY as the FIRST human Son in God's FAMILY) there you may be also.
John 14:4. So then, now you know WHY I am going to the cross to be GLORIFIED and you also know the WAY.”
Now, do not get distracted from the MAIN context by verses 5-9.
Skip down to verse 10.
“John 14:10. Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that DWELLS in me, He does the works.
John 14:11. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
John 14:12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; BECAUSE I go unto my Father. (To prepare a PLACE for you in my Father’s FAMILY)
John 14:13. And whatsoever you shall ask (Or more correctly understood, whatsoever you COMMAND the ENEMY) in my NAME, (Whenever we command the ENEMY in the name of Jesus, it now has the SAME authority as the name Yahweh) that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”
Before the cross, the Holy Spirit was WITH the disciples and Jesus said the Comforter shall be IN them.
“John 14:16. And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;
John 14:17. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and SHALL be in you.
John 14:18. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:19. Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; (Or the world will not see me YET) but you see me: because I live, you shall live also.”
It is EXPEDIENT for you that I go away.
“John 16:5. But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where are you going?
John 16:6. But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.
John 16:7. Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I DEPART, I will send him unto you.”

late 15th century (in the sense ‘perform quickly’): from Latin expedire ‘extricate (originally by freeing the feet), put in order’, from ex- ‘out’ + pes, ped- ‘foot’.
Again, no where in the CONTEXT is Jesus talking about a literal house, room, or place to live in up in heaven.
That interpretation is read into the Scriptures.
The PLACE Jesus was before the cross was a place of HEARING the voice of God leading and guiding him, teaching him, showing him what to do and what to say.
After the cross, Jesus was given the FULLNESS of Deity to dwell in him.
So, now Jesus can lead us through the voice of the Holy Spirit because he has been tempted in all points as we are tempted.
Thus, we talk, pray, to both the Father and to His Son Jesus.
To me, this is the TRUE understanding of the Greek word “incorrectly” translated as Mansions.
And the WHOLE context is about the Son of MAN, Jesus, being GLORIFIED and ASCENDING up into heaven to wait until the time he shall be DESCENDING at his coming to rapture the church, execute the WRATH of Almighty God and RULE as God over the whole earth for 1000 years.
So again, we all agree that the Father’s NAME is YHWH. And most Christians believe that the NAME of Almighty God the Father is pronounced as Yahweh.

There are many PROPHECIES in the Old Testament about the Messiah BECOMING a God and Satan being DETHRONED from being the god of this present world.
Perhaps I will cover them in another study. For now, I will leave them as incomplete NOTES at the end of this study.

And to me, the truth concerning who Jesus TRULY is, according to the Bible ITSELF, is the Biblical Unitarian view of Jesus.
Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.

SECTION TWO
Please read Revelation 3:12.
“Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the NAME OF my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my NEW NAME.”
Now the name OF the God OF Jesus is Yahweh. And, according to Exodus 3:15, the name “Yahweh” is God the Creator’s NAME FOREVER.
So, if Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh as some Christians teach, then HOW can an Almighty God have another God OVER him?
And if Jesus is Yahweh Himself, then the name Yahweh would have already been his name FOREVER.
And thus, according to the interpretation that Jesus is Yahweh Himself, would be a LIE.
For you see, Jesus was GIVEN a NEW NAME after the cross BY his God and Father.
And the NAME that Jesus was GIVEN after the cross is HIGHER than every other name.
So then, HOW can Jesus be HIGHLY EXALTED and GIVEN a NAME that is HIGHER or ABOVE every other NAME if so be that Jesus was already Almighty God Yahweh Himself in the flesh as some Christians claim?
The NEW NAME of God’s Messiah is PROPHESIED in Isaiah 62:2-5 where we also see the sons as the BRIDE of the righteous one.
Isaiah 62:2-5.
“And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you shall be called by a NEW NAME, which the mouth of the LORD SHALL name. (And this prophecy was fulfilled after the cross and resurrection of Jesus, according to Philippians 2:8-11)
3. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4. You shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall your land any more be termed Desolate: but you shall be called Hephzibah, (Or my delight) and your land Beulah: for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.
5. For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.”
So then, to ME, Proverbs 30:4 does NOT teach us that a God the Son descended down from heaven and became flesh and remained the fully Almighty God Himself in the flesh having TWO natures at the SAME time during the days of his FLESH, one divine, and one human as some Christians WRONGLY teach in my own opinion.
To get a better understanding of what Proverbs 30:4 truly means in the LIGHT of the WHOLE word of Almighty God. let us read the CONTEXT.
For you see, by reading the context, we can better understand who is ASKING these questions and WHY is he asking these questions.
And also, who is he asking to give answers to his questions?
And to get that understanding we need to read some more CONTEXT and ALSO look up the meanings of names of the people in verses 1-3.
Let us read the context first and then we can examine the MEANINGS of their names.
Proverbs 30:1-3.
“The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, even the prophecy: the man spake unto Ithiel, even unto Ithiel and Ucal,
2. Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
3. I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the Holy.”
Here we see that the personal pronoun “I” refers back to a man named “Agur”.
And thus, it is “Agur” who is doing the speaking. And in verses 2 and 3, Agur is talking to someone saying that he is ignorant and he has not been taught the wisdom and knowledge of the Holy.
So, obviously, Agur is talking to someone who he trusts to have knowledge and understanding of the Holy.
The man named Agur is asking them to teach him about a PROPHECY given by a man, a prophet of God.
And, according to the MEANINGS of the names, that prophecy is about a valiant man saying that God is arriving to DEVOUR.
Then Agur asks these wise teachers about the Creator’s NAME and what is His Son’s NAME, if you can tell?
In other words, if you have knowledge and understanding of WHO the Creator is and what His NAME is, then will you teach me so I can know?
But Agur asks another question also saying, “AND what is His Son’s NAME as well, if you know?”
Now you may be wondering how do I know what the PROPHECY is about that Agur heard.
And had Satan known, then he would not have crucified Jesus, who would become the Lord of glory.
Now, you may be wondering why I interpreted Proverbs 30:2 to mean that Agur is asking someone to teach him about a PROPHECY that Agur heard that was given by a man, a prophet of God, speaking of a valiant man saying that God is arriving to devour.
The answer is that I myself was wondering who Agur is speaking these words as well, so I asked God who is this man named Agur?
And God impressed upon me to look up the MEANINGS of the names, Agur, Jakeh, Ithiel, and Ucal in verse 1. And here is what I found.
E-Sword defines the name Agur to mean gathered or harvested and received among the WISE.
A sage is a wise man or teacher. And Solomon was a wise man.
Also, the Hebrew name “Agur” comes from H103
H94
אָגוּר
'âgûr
aw-goor'
Passive participle of H103; gathered (that is, received among the sages); Agur, a fanciful name of Solomon: - Agur.
Total KJV occurrences: 1.
And H103 from which the name Agur comes from means HARVEST.
So, the name Agur, to me, symbolically means a new Christian who is asking to be taught about the Creator, the Creator’s NAME and the NAME of the Creator’s Son.
The phrase “if you can tell?” speaks of, if you know then please tell me.
But if you do not know for sure then just say that you do not know.
Let us continue to see how E-Sword defines the name Jakeh.

From an unused root probably meaning to obey; obedient; Jakeh, a symbolical name (for Solomon): - Jakeh.
Total KJV occurrences: 1.
Agur, the one who has been received into the harvest is the son of the OBEDIENT or an obedient son.
So again, to me, Agur, is an obedient son that is symbolic for a new Christian who obeyed the truth or the gospel to be saved, and now wants to learn about the Creator and His Son, Jesus.
But the name Jakel can also be referring to Jesus as being the obedient one.
For you see, the PROPHECIES testify of God’s chosen vessel to become God’s Messiah as God’s King to execute the wrath of God.
Now let us see what the name Ithiel means as E-Sword defines the name.

Perhaps from H837 and H410; God has arrived; Ithiel, the name of an Israelite, also of a symbolic person: - Ithiel.

Before I make any comments on this name let us go ahead and look at the meaning of the name Ucal.
Here is how E-Sword defines the name Ucal.

Apparently from H398; devoured; Ucal, a fancy name: - Ucal.
Total KJV occurrences: 1.
And when we put all of the MEANINGS of the names together in Proverbs 30:1 here is the hidden meaning in my own paraphrase translation.
My own paraphrased translation of Proverbs 30:1.
“Agur, a son of obedience to be received into the harvest to be taught by other wise Christians is asking those wiser than himself about the PROPHECIES speaking about a valiant man or a warrior announcing that God is arriving to devour or the execute the wrath of God.”
So then, one possible interpretation of the meanings of the names in Proverbs 30:1-4 is about the HARVEST of the obedient who will be received and a valiant man who is descending or arriving as a warrior to devour.
And the WHO that ascended and is going to descend as THAT valiant warrior to devour or execute that wrath of Almighty God is the Creator’s Son.
So, to me, Agur symbolically presents true born-again Christians asking wise knowledgeable Christians to teach them all they know about the Creator, the NAME of the Creator, AND the NAME of the Creator’s Son, which we all know is Jesus.
But is there a DEEPER hidden meaning to the questions “What is His NAME and what is His Son’s NAME, if you can tell or understand?”
And to me, the answer to the question, if you can tell, is a definite YES!
We can know and understand both the Messiah’s name which is Jesus AND the NEW NAME of Jesus as well.
For you see, Jesus was given a NEW NAME after the cross. Now, the New Testament does not come right out and directly state as a fact WHAT the NEW NAME of Jesus is.
But there are plenty of clues in both the New Testament and in the Old Testament where we can discern the new name of Jesus.
And one HUGE clue is found in Philippians 2:8-11. So let us go ahead and read that passage of Scripture in the New Testament.
Philippians 2:8-11.
“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9. WHEREFORE (Or because of this very reason that the Son of MAN, Jesus, became obedient unto death, even the death on the cross) God also has HIGHLY EXALTED him, and GIVEN him a NAME which is ABOVE EVERY name: (So it was after the cross and BECAUSE OF the obedience of the Son of MAN, Jesus, that Almighty God the Father HIGHLY EXALTED His Son and GAVE Jesus a NAME that is ABOVE every other name except for the Creator’s name which is Yahweh.
So, to me, this is a huge clue that the NEW NAME given to Jesus after the cross is to RECEIVE all authority and power IN the NAME Yahweh which is ABOVE every other name.
And the REASON that Almighty God the Father GAVE His Son Jesus a NEW NAME is so THAT every knee will bow or kneel before Jesus in the world to come AT the NAME OF Jesus and call him “Lord” TO the glory OF Almighty God, Yahweh, the Father and THE God OF Jesus)
10. THAT AT the NAME of Jesus (Speaking of the NEW NAME that Yahweh the Father GAVE to His now HIGHLY EXALTED human Son on the everyday that God raised him from the dead and gave him eternal life.
So then, it is the new name GIVEN to Jesus after the cross.
And WHY it was given to a MAN is SO THAT at the NAME Yahweh our RIGHTEOUSNESS) every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Speaking of Satan, the fallen angels, and all of the unsaved humans bowing down to Jesus at the name of Jesus and worshiping God firstbegotten Son at the end of the Millennial reign of Jesus right before they are judged and cast ito the Lake of Fire to be destroyed never to rise again)
11. And THAT every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, TO the glory OF God the Father.”
And another huge clue is found in Revelation 3:12 so let us go ahead and read it so you can see that clue for yourself.
Revelation 3:12.
“Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the NAME OF my God, (Did you see the clue to what the NEW NAME of Jesus is?
Jesus said that he will write the NAME of his God on us who overcome.
And the NAME of the God OF Jesus is Yahweh forever, according to Exodus 3:15.
So, when we are glorified at the coming of Jesus then WE will ALSO be given the name Yahweh as well.
In other words, we will RULE and reign WITH Jesus in the AUTHORITY OF the NAME Yahweh which is the name ABOVE EVERY other name) and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my NEW NAME.”
Now, I already have three in-depth studies on the NEW NAME that Yahweh the Father GAVE to Jesus after the cross which I will leave links to at the end of the study.
So, I do not want to take a lot of time repeating every thing in the same way that I have already taught on this subject.
But rather, I want to focus on some NEW revelation that God opened my eyes to see this morning.
I began thinking about why some Christians have a really hard time letting go of the man-made THEORIES that Jesus was fully Almighty God Himself and fully human at the SAME time DURING the days of his FLESH.
I mean why would the Bible even say anything about the DAYS of his FLESH if it is not important to know and understand that Jesus was fully HUMAN during the DAYS of his FLESH?
Let us go ahead and read that passage of Scripture that speaks of the days of the FLESH of Jesus.
Hebrews 5:5-14.
“So also Christ glorified NOT himself to be MADE an high priest; but He (Referring to the God and Father OF Jesus who alone is Yahweh the one true and only Almighty God) that said unto him, you are my Son, TODAY have I begotten you. (Here we see that it was PROPHESIED in Psalm chapter 2 that the ANOINTED one or the Christ prophesied to come would be MADE a high priest by Yahweh and NOT that the anointed one would make himself or exalt himself to be made a high priest)
6. As He says also in another place, (Or in another prophecy in Psalm chapter 110) you are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (After being MADE a high priest after the cross and highly exalted by God to come sit on his God and Father’s throne as the glorified Son of MAN, Jesus)
7. Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to SAVE him from death, and was heard in that he feared; (Now, does this sound like something an Almighty God the Son would do?
Does Almighty God Himself FEAR anything? NO! Not to me it doesn’t!
So, to ME, the phrase “though he was a Son” is NOT to be INTERPRETED as “though he was, is, and shall come again as Almighty God the Son, the second person of a Trinity God”
But rather, it should be interpreted as “though he was the HUMAN Son of Almighty God who had no earthly biological father it was prophesied that the Messiah must SUFFER and cry out to his God from hell to not leave his soul in hell)
8. Though he was a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (Again, if Jesus was God the Son in the flesh he would not have needed to learn anything)
9. And being MADE perfect, he BECAME the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
10. Called OF God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Warning Against Apostasy
11. Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing you are dull of hearing.
12. For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13. For every one that uses milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14. But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
This passage of Scripture teaches me that as early as the first century there were some Christians DEPARTING the truth faith to WRONGLY teach that Jesus GLORIFIED HIMSELF.
And the writer of Hebrews was correcting them. It seems to me by the wording that some Christians were departing from the true faith to wrongly teach that Jesus being the Son of God must mean that Jesus is God Himself.
But that is NOT the intended meaning of the phrase, “though he was a Son”. Today, Christians INTERPRET many verses of Scripture in the Gospel of John to mean that those verses are saying that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the FLESH.
But the Apostle John himself teaches us his PURPOSE of writing the Gospel of John toward the end of his account of WHO Jesus is and WHAT we are to believe and teach.
John 20:30,31.
The Purpose of This Book
“30. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31. But these are written, THAT (Or so THAT, or in ORDER THAT) you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son OF God; and that believing you might have life through his NAME.”
Believing WHAT? Believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son OF God so that you might have eternal life through his NAME.
My Bible has headings like the one above before passages of Scripture to let the readers know what the following verses are about.
In other words, the INTENDED meaning of the words that the Apostle John has written in the BOOK, the Gospel of John, were written for the PURPOSE that we are to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son OF the living God.
And the living God is clearly identified throughout the New Testament as being the FATHER alone in ONE person.
And by BELIEVING this TRUTH you might have eternal life through his NAME.
Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded, taught, or even HINTED at or IMPLIED that we MUST interpret that the phrase “Son OF God” means that Jesus is Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
Many Christians in the early church taught that Jesus was the ADOPTED Son of God the same as his BRETHREN or his FELLOWS are adopted and given POWER to become the sons of God.
And the only difference between us and Jesus is that Jesus had no EARTHLY biological Father.
And that made Jesus a unique human Son of God.
Now Adam had no earthly father either and Adam is called the Son of God in Luke 3:38.
Luke 3:38.
“Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”
Acts 17:29 teaches us that we ALL are the offspring of God and Romans teaches us that we ALL have fallen short of the GLORY of God because we all have SINNED at some time in our life.
And thus, we ALL became the children of the Devil, according to 1 John 3:19 because we all have SINNED and fallen short of the INTENDED glory for us to partake of the DIVINE NATURE of IMMORTALITY.
And the ONLY way to be reconciled back to God to to have the right to eat of the tree of LIFE to become God’s ETERNAL children to never stay away again is by FAITH in Jesus and what he did for our sake during the days of his FLESH as the ANOINTED human Son of God who learned obedience even unto death on the cross.
And it was for the JOY set before Jesus that he endured the cross to atone for the sins of the whole world, according to Hebrews 12:2.
And WHOSOEVER of any person in the entire world who BELIEVES in Jesus as being the Christ, the Son OF the living God might be saved.
And if they are found to be good and faithful servants, then they also will enter into the JOY of our Lord Jesus Christ to also be made partakers of the DIVINE NATURE of immortality as well, according to 2 Peter 1:3,4.
2 Peter 1:3,4.
“According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to GLORY and virtue:
4. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
But first we must endure unto the end and overcome even as Jesus overcame.
Now, let us go even deeper into Proverbs to learn the FULL meaning of what happened BEFORE the BEGINNING of this PRESENT AGE of the earth.
First, I want you to read Proverbs 30:4 from a few other translations.
“4. Who has gone up to heaven and come down? who has taken the winds in his hands, prisoning the waters in his robe? By whom have all the ends of the earth been fixed? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if you are able to say?”
Septuagint Bible w/ Apocrypha.
“4. Who has gone up to heaven, and come down? Who has gathered the winds in his bosom? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has dominion of all the ends of the earth? What is his name? Or what is the name of his children?”
Please read all of the studies under the heading menu list called The PREVIOUS AGE of the Earth!
For you see, some Christians have never been taught that the account in Genesis is about Almighty God RESTORING the earth to be habitable once again.
Thus, this present age and the age to come are to JUDGE Satan and the fallen Elohim.
