People say, I am basically a good person, so why do I need to be saved?
Book 6 Chapter 2.
Why did God raise up a Savior to save us?
People ask questions like “Why do I need a Savior?”, “Why didn’t God just save us?”, “Why do all of the GOOD people in the world who believe in a god and gods need to be saved?”, “I am a good person, so why do I need to be saved?”, “Why did God simply just require the really vile wicked people to be saved?”
The short answer is that, according to Romans 11:29-36 and Galatians 3:21-29, God CONCLUDED ALL people, as in, EVERY human being to be under sin, except for babies and children who have not reached the age of accountability.
But to really and truly understand all of the “WHY questions”, and why God CONCLUDED all of mankind to be under the PENALTY for sin, including His Son Jesus, then we need to understand that a WAR has been waged against God.
And God is in a process to end that war and ALL wars forever.
So God devised a PLAN to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels and at the same time make it possible for as many who BELIEVE to be saved.
And thus, those who refuse to BELIEVE will not be saved.
It is not that God WON’T save them, but rather, God wants to REWARD whosoever of any person in the world who WANTS to be saved with His gift of eternal life in the world to come.
There are many verses of Scripture that seem as if God is BEGGING people to be saved.
And therefore, God is FOR us and NEVER against us. As I have said before in some of my other studies, God desires you to be saved MORE than you desire to be saved.
Here are a few of those passages of Scripture show us the LOVE that God has for ALL of mankind.
Romans 5:6-11.
“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:7. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (In other words, some people might sacrifice their life to save a RIGHTEOUS person.
And some might even give their life to save a GOOD person)
Romans 5:8. But God commends His love toward us, in that, WHILE we were YET sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:9. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Romans 5:10. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Romans 5:11. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”
In other words, the atonement has already been made, but ONLY those of us who RECEIVE the atonement shall be saved by the LIFE of Jesus.
That means that by the shed blood of Jesus, we who BELIEVE are forgiven of all of our past sins for the PURPOSE of of obeying the TWO commandments that God gave to Jesus to give to us.
And thus, God required ONLY His Messiah or Savior to keep ALL of His commandments that God gave to the children of Israel, according to John 15:9-14.
Ezekiel 18:31,32.
“Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby you have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for WHY will you DIE, O house of Israel?
Ezekiel 18:32. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dies, says the Lord GOD: WHEREFORE, turn yourselves, and live you.”
Deuteronomy 30:19,20.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you LIFE and DEATH, blessing and cursing: THEREFORE choose LIFE, that both you and your seed may LIVE:
Deuteronomy 30:20. THAT you may love the LORD your God, and THAT you may OBEY His voice, and THAT you may cleave unto Him: for He is your life, and the length of your days: THAT you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
Now, according to Ephesians 1:2-10, before God created man, God purposed in Himself according to His good PLEASURE to save whosever BELIEVES in His Messiah. Let us go ahead and read that passage of Scripture.
Ephesians 1:3-10.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians 1:4. According as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: (In other words, to be in the God and Father of Jesus we must be in Jesus Christ.
And the PURPOSE of being saved is to be holy and without blame before the God and Father of Jesus by walking in LOVE.
For you see, God hates WAR and strife, for strife leads t every evil work, according to James 3:14-18)
Ephesians 1:5. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, (We are all the “offspring” of God, but we ALL have sinned to become the enemy of God.
In other words, SIN is the enemy of God. And the short answer to what is sin is missing the mark. God is Holy, righteous, and good.
And God’s good pleasure is that we all live in peace and love one another.
So again, God CONCLUDED all to be under sin, including His Son Jesus, so that He might have MERCY upon all, according to Romans 11:32-36)
Ephesians 1:6. To the praise of the glory of His grace, (Or mercy) wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved.
Ephesians 1:7. In whom we have redemption through his BLOOD, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;
Ephesians 1:8. Wherein He has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Ephesians 1:9. Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He has purposed in himself: (So then, since God created us, He is the one who decides HOW He Himself CHOOSES to SAVE us and HOW to end this WAR that was waged against Him.
And God chose to use a MAN that He made or created to be a little LOWER or inferior to the angels.
For you see, it was the angels who sinned by rebelling against their Creator.
And God PREPARED a FIRE to destroy the Devil and his angels, according to Matthew 25:41.
And God would have destroyed them right then and there, but Lucifer wrongly ACCUSED God of “creating” him will a rebellious sinful nature. And thus, Satan laid the BLAME on God for this war.
So then, God CHOSE to “CREATE” MAN and the Son of MAN to be made a little LOWER or inferior to the angels in order to CLEAR His NAME being blasphemed by His ENEMIES who were once GOOD angels, according to Psalm 8:1-6, and Psalm 74:10)
Ephesians 1:10. THAT in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one ALL things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:”
The word “things” is not in the original Greek text. And thus, the ALL is referring to the ALL who BELIEVE in Jesus the Christ.
The ALL who died in Christ that are in heaven and the ALL who are in Christ on the earth.
So then, God appointed a TIME that He would raise up a Savior from the dead.
And then, FROM that time or resurrection the Son of MAN, Jesus, from the dead to give him eternal life, God now REQUIRES mankind to REPENT.
Please read Acts 17:29-31.
“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought NOT to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
Acts 17:30. And (SOME of) the times of this ignorance God WINKED at; (Meaning that BEFORE the cross and resurrection, God did not hold SOME of the ignorance accountable) but now commands all men everywhere to REPENT:
Acts 17:31. BECAUSE He has appointed a DAY, (Speaking of the 1000 year long day of the reign of Jesus and the final Day of Judgment, called the White Throne Judgment, that will take place after the Millennial reign of Jesus comes to and END) in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that MAN whom He has ORDAINED; whereof He has given ASSURANCE unto all men, in that He has raised him from the DEAD.”
And because Jesus LIVES, we who BELIEVE shall LIVE ALSO.
And that is WHY you NEED to be SAVED. If you want to live FOREVER with God in His NEW world that He has promised to make NEW, then you have to BELIEVE in God’s WAY to be SAVED.
Please know and understand that the NEW Heaven and the NEW earth will have NO evil, NO sickness, NO suffering, and NO pain, according to Revelation 21:4-8.
But those who do NOT BELIEVE will perish knowing WHAT they could have had if they would have SIMPLY BELIEVED in God’s plan of salvation to do things God’s WAY.
God desires to give us the REWARD or GIFT of eternal life for being His faithful WITNESSES, according to Isaiah.43:6-15, Revelation 1:5, and Revelation 3:14.
So WHY will you DIE the second death in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment, when you can receive eternal life and made a king to rule over the earth with Jesus?
God takes NO pleasure in the death of a sinner. God is pleading with you to CHOOSE eternal life!
Always remember, that under God’s NEW Covenant, sin is the disobedience of just TWO simple and EASY to keep commandments, which I will explain in the next chapter.

Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
