Therapy with me will give patients an open environment to share their story, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. My approach to therapy is founded upon forming a compassionate & supportive relationship that is free of judgment and full of empathy and respect. This helps patients feel safe and comfortable while beginning the work of understanding themselves.
I use a Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) foundation while using a mix of other theories that are tailored to the unique goals and needs of my patients. I practice mindfulness with my patients as I believe it is a great coping mechanism that helps refocus attention to the present and can also be used in and out of therapy.
I specialize in working with clients that struggle with anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, learning disabilities, parenting, and relationship issues. The population I primarily work with is children, adolescents, couples, families, & young adults.
Taking the first steps in therapy can be scary, so let's do it together. Feel free to reach out to me so we can begin this therapeutic journey together.
