With the right support, and space for secure self-expression, every individual can live an empowered, fulfilling life. Coping with the challenges of life can feel overwhelming at times. Aliya believes in promoting awareness of inner strength, by understanding the connection between the mind and body, and the environment/culture and inner world. Aliya provides a safe and welcoming atmosphere for clients to be their authentic selves, share their experiences, and work toward personal goals. She works with various modalities including Adlerian therapy, Humanistic, DBT, CBT, Somatic, Ecological Systems Theory, and Gestalt. Aliya collaborates with clients in identifying their strengths and the barriers to self-regulation, motivation, and inner peace.
Aliya completed her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern New Hampshire University, and her B.A. in Psychology at Montclair State University. She has experience supporting individuals with depression/mood dysregulation, relational challenges, complex trauma, anxiety/fear, self-esteem/body image challenges, neurodivergence, substance use, spirituality/religion, and more. She has worked extensively with LGBTQ+ clients, and clients from various cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds. She is happy to support you on your journey.
