LMHC, PhD, CBIS

Welcome! As a mental health counselor I understand the difficulties of taking the first step to seek treatment. Clients may feel strange talking about aspects of their life they have yet to view and/or process. Our sessions will serve as a safe and judgement free environment to explore past experiences, current behaviors, and difficulties processing trauma. Clients will be provided with the ability to explore difficulties in their lives and be provided with as much structure as needed to make changes and reach a greater sense of wellness. I work to hear the client and ensure interventions are helpful to support growth.

I specialize in assisting clients with anxiety, depression, TBI, and play therapy. As a certified brain injury specialist, I understand the frustration clients have experienced acclimating into the community following their injury and finding a qualified professional to help.

I have worked with clients of all ages and in all stages of life. Clients may find support through use of CBT interventions to work through faulty thinking or play therapy to support young emotions in processing feelings. Through structured interventions clients can find themselves with tools to support feeling more in control of their lives.

*DBT Skills Group*

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) was designed to help individuals learn how to understand and regulate their emotions, thoughts and behaviors. DBT is a skills-based, evidence-based treatment with an emphasis on creating a life worth living, to support developing a sense of self-agency in one’s life. It does this through training in 4 behavioral skill sets: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness. The purpose of a DBT skills group is to view and understand skills to create lasting behavioral change in your life.
