My name is Ayanna Kelly, MHC-LP. I am committed to help initiate your healing journey from past pain, generational dysfunction and abandonment issues to discover self-love, change the narrative of your life, build strong boundaries and protect your peace. We will collaborate to uncover how, what happened to you brought you here and how to make sense of old patterns, process difficult memories, and provide tools to regulate emotions in a healthier way.
A little about me, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College after working the last 15+ years in corporate as a Human Resources professional. I have seen how workplace stress and bias can impact an individual’s mental well-being and overall health.
I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to express their thoughts and feelings openly. I am passionate about acknowledging my client’s personal experiences and normalizing the human emotional experience. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each individual's unique needs, drawing from various evidence-based modalities, such as multicultural techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. I collaborate with my clients to set realistic goals and work together toward achieving them.
