As with any activity, please make sure you are using appropriate safety equipment. If you are coding, writing, reading, or working a lab, make sure you stand up and stretch every hour or so, Please consider any safety issues connecting to a Raspberry Pi, Arduino, computers and other electronic equipment.

- Step 1 - Opening, Installing Software, and Powering On
Connecting Your Board With Out A Sim Card?
plug in the USB C power/data cable
You should have a USB drive called "CURIOSITY show up on you PC
Click on the CLICK-ME.HTM file to go to the Microchip site https://iot.microchip.com/avr-iot-cellular-mini and click on the Upgrade the Board Firmware tab
The board is pre-programmed with an on-boarding / sandbox firmware, which is designed to interact with this page and get you up and running. For the optimal experience, download the newest version of said firmware.
When downloaded, drag and drop the .hex file to the CURIOSITY drive as shown
Click the "Connect To Board"
Select the indicated Serial COM port
Click "Connect"
Seems like I can connect to the board Serial COM port, and it can see that the board does not have a SIM card...
Maybe the next step is going to https://iot.microchip.com/docs/arduino/start and seeing if you can get an IDE up and dunning with out the SIM card installed.
