AI-Club - Educating Students on Artificial Intelligence

This is a Resource Page for the pyxeda AI-Club material. I'm a huge supporter of Open Source and Creative Commons resources, but in this case, I'm tuning copyrighted material from pyxeda AI-Club.

Pyxeda AI-Club mission: "is to empower kids from elementary, middle, and high school to learn AI and realize their passions through creative applications of their learnings.

We are a group of AI and software experts with PhDs from top-tier schools and many years of real-world experience. We created AIClub to help the next generation of kids improve their AI Literacy and imagine the future with technology."

Overview, Introduction & Prerequisites:

AI Club - Educating Students on Artificial Intelligence. AI-Club is an Artificial Intelligence education program, where the folks at pyxeda.ai have created some Awesome curricula to introduce students to Artificial Intelligence, let them run AI models, and even design their own AI projects.

Also, check out this awesome book Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence: Volume 1 It is a complete introduction and easy-to-understand overview of Artificial Intelligence. Perfect for Highschool students.

Sid Bar for Teachers: This Module or lesson is how I teach in my class. Many of the lessons might be specific to my class, but you could probably adjust them for your class. I'll try to make them a neutral as I can, so they can be used in any Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or any other Engineering / Technology class. Let me know how I can make that better. Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Prior Knowledge:

No prior knowledge expected - You be you!!!

Resources & Materials Needed:

PC, Laptop or another device to access the pyxeda.ai AI-Club web application
Each lesson will have specific items needed to complete the labs and tasks

Prerequisites:

No explicit prerequisite course work or coding knowledge is required, but students are expected to have a good understanding of basic computer principles.

Caution & Safety Considerations:

Primer: "Aaron, I can imagine no way in which this thing could be considered anywhere remotely close to safe. All I know is I spent six hours in there and I'm still alive... You still want to do it?"

As with any activity, please make sure you are using appropriate safety equipment. If you are coding, writing, reading, or working a lab, make sure you stand up and stretch every hour or so, Please consider any safety issues connecting to a Raspberry Pi, Arduino, computers and other electronic equipment.

What Is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is intelligence demonstrated by machines, as opposed to the natural intelligence displayed by animals including humans. It is also the process of building Machines that can replicate human intelligence.

"What is Artificial Intelligence? AI, a subset of data science, is a collection of programs and algorithms that uses machine learning and deep learning to simulate human intelligence. AI algorithms learn, reason, and self-correct to perform autonomous actions and solve problems as they continue to capture more data. AI can translate, understand speech and make decisions self-sufficiently—helping you automate repetitive tasks or strategically innovate products and services."
