the Pi Zero is cool, but not Analog pins
sorry the Pi pico is cool, but not Analog pins. I like that you can use Python, but the Arduino is more useful with the Analog pins.

Kerry, great class today. I know everything does not always go the way you expected... Here is what I did after a few more hours of playing....
I'm on a Windows 7 laptop
I connected my usb2ethernet dongle to my little tp-link switch, and then connected 2 raspberry Pi's to the switch.
I also connected one Raspberry Pi to my home wifi network.
I checked my windows control panel and opened the network connections and could see my Local Area Connection to my Routher network, my Wifi router network and my unknown network (which was my usb2ethernet network)
I renamed my local switch network from "unknown network" to "Local-Switch-Raspberry-Pi"
on my laptop I opened a cygwin terminal and ran ipconfig -all
This lets me see my hard ethernet connection to my router. my wifi network connection AND the local usb2ethernet switch network.
I can see that my Router network is on 192.168.1.1 and the Local-Switch-Raspberry-Pi network is on 192.168.137.1
So with the Advanced IP Scanner, I scanned both 192.168.1.1-254 and 192.168.137.1-254
On the 192.168.1.1-254 scan I can see all the stuff on my Router network, like the wifi raspberry pi, my laptop, and TV, Roku, etc
On the 192.168.137.1-254 scan I can see my Switch at 192.168.137.1 and the 2 raspberry pi at 192.168.137.145 and 192.168.137.218
So... Now I have the IP address of my 2 "switch connected" Raspberry Pis. and my Wifi connected Raspberry Pi.
When I created the SD cards for all of them, I added the SSH file to the boot dir, so they all could be connected with SSH
I can connect with Putty to all Raspberry Pi's
I turned on VNC on all the raspberry Pi's
I can VNC to all the Raspberry Pi's
On my laptop I can open a command terminal (Cygwin) and ping all Raspberry Pi's
if I'm connected with Putty or VNC to any of the Raspberry Pi in the "Local-Switch-Raspberry-Pi" network (the usb2ethernet to my switch) I can ping all Pi's and my laptop
Here is the WEIRD ( suggesting something supernatural; uncanny) part. If I'm connected with Putty or VNC to any of the Raspberry Pi on my WiFi network (my Home wifi) I can ping my Laptop, but not any of the Raspberry Pi's on my in the "Local-Switch-Raspberry-Pi" network (the usb2ethernet to my switch)

Still not sure how to get my pi rack network on the internet.
I set my Wifi network to let my local Raspberry Pi usb/ethernet share the network connection.
Then we started to work this process to get one RPi set as a wifi hot spot server and connected back to your actual router

Humans and even other intelligent animals innately understand the concept of Whole Numbers. We can clearly understand the concept of "How Many" when we look at these two piles of Jelly Beans.
We may not immediately know how many beans are in the big pile, but we absolutely know that there are way more than 5.
And to find out we can easily start at 1 and then count each... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14... 93. That's what I think... I think there are 93.
