Below is the video that V.S. has on their website that guides through the basics of uploading new Products.
Adding POS Products With Stock Item Tracking - VenueSumo Help & Support Center
In addition to the video please REVIEW AND IMPLEMENT the three additional steps that are required in order for V.S. to property sync to Newbook/Sage/RAMP.
If there are uncertainties about where specific inventory items should be categorized, please reach out to me, with Logan, and your RM CC'd.
1. Tax Categories: When adding a product to your POS system and selecting a tax category, please consult the following link for an overview of tax categories across all locations (minus Seven Maples and French Pond who have none for POS products :).
2. GL Account Codes: I have attached an Excel document detailing which GL code (Revenue and Inventory) corresponds to each product category as referenced in the POS system.
When adding in a new POS product and subsequently stocking it, refer to the Excel document to ensure the appropriate Revenue (when adding POS Products) and Inventory (when adding Stock Items) GL codes match the same category.
Product: Revenue GL Code (40000)
GL added to ‘GL Account Code’ box
Stock: Inventory GL Code (10000)
GL added to ‘Tax Code’ box ... working on getting this changed to ‘GL Tax Code’
3. RAMP: When you are buy products to sell in your stores and go to map the RAMP charges, it is essential to map each RAMP item against the same Inventory GL code that the stock item aligns with.
