To Get Started
You'll receive an email from Startle that looks like this.
Create Playlists or Upload Spotify Playlists
Click Playlists on the left sidebar menu and then Create New Playlist or Spotify Import.
Click Spotify Import and paste a Spotify link in the space provided, then click Import.
To find your Spotify Link from the Spotify site, Click on the three dots in the middle of the screen above the playlist. Scroll down to Share and then click Copy link to playlist.
If you don't have a Spotify Playlist, you can also create your own by clicking Create New Playlist. Here you can search by Artists, Tracks or Startle Playlists. When you're satisfied with the song choices you have made, click Save at the bottom. Don't forget to give your Playlist a Title at the top before you save!
Once you've created your Playlists, you can now go schedule your music play times.
Set your Music Schedule to match your office hours.
Click Schedule on the left sidebar menu
Click Music Times on the left sidebar dropdown menu
You can then set your Opening and Closing times for each day.
Then click Save at the bottom when you are done.
Now that you have set your Music Schedule, you can now go in and set your Weekly Schedule by clicking it on the left sidebar menu.
You can adjust the music playing and times in the existing scheduled blocks by clicking on the time block. This side menu below will pop up and you can make adjustments to the Start and End Time, Playlist or you can even Delete the existing event.
Connect one end of the Network (Ethernet) Cable to the Internet port (1) of the Startle Player and the other end to a spare port on your Internet router.
Connect the single end of the Audio (Phono) Cable to the Audio port (2) of the Startle Player and the other end to the Auxiliary (AUX) ports on your amplifier.
Connect the Power Supply Unit to the Power port (3) of the Startle Player and an electrical socket.
Turn on the unit and wait 5 minutes (do not restart in this time).
Optionally connect the HDMI cable to your screens for enhanced functionality.
