This is what a Year 1 teacher had to say about a lesson where pupils sorted rubbish:
“The fact that the activity was very hands on and practical helped to keep the children's engagement ongoing. It was beneficial to see how to incorporate drama and movement into Science lessons to embed concepts. I really appreciated being able to see Megan teach. It will definitely inform my practice.”
Read what a Year 1 teacher had to say about support for her lessons for Animals Including Humans:
'I approached Meg to help with tweaking a non-fiction piece of writing for a year 1 English assessment that was based on last term's science topic of animals including humans. Meg gave me a number of very useful ideas to choose from regarding how to develop the writing and help pupils edit it. Meg helped me with the idea for an activity based on our Deadly and Dangerous Animals book. I settled on an animal x-ray activity in which the children had to match the name, photo and x-ray of an animal from a group of 5 different animals. They then wrote what vertebrate group each animal belonged to and what features made each group distinct from the other ones.'
This is what a Year 2 teacher had to say about a lesson where pupils used data loggers:
'Children worked co-operatively discussing ideas, making predictions and using equipment to successfully to carry out an investigation. They were able to reflect and record results based on their findings.'
Year 5 pupils created water filters to make clean water.
