AMBER HOLLAND

Amber Holland’s heart lies in the curling rink, but her experience with the Saskatchewan Games ignited a long-standing dedication to Saskatchewan’s sport community. She first competed at the 1990 Sask Winter Games for curling where her team earned the bronze medal. Still committed to the sport years later, she skipped Saskatchewan's team to a Canadian national women's championship in 2011 and later that year took home silver at the Capital One World Women's Curling Championship. Currently serving as Chair for the Saskatchewan Games Council Board of Directors and Vice President of the sport division for the 2023 Games, Amber’s experience as a participant and governing body member have allowed her the ability to celebrate sport as a whole. She praises the Saskatchewan Games for offering insight for all athletes, coaches and volunteers, to show them they are part of something much bigger than their participation in an individual sport – they’ve helped create a legacy.
