LISA BORGERSON

Two-time Olympic Pistol coach Lisa Borgerson is currently one of the top three coaches in the world for her sport and says she values the growth she experienced in both her personal and professional life through the Saskatchewan Games. The target shooting event from her Games expertise led her to be Manager for the 2006 Saskatchewan Winter Games and coach at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Winter Games. She was also set to coach at the 2022 Games until they were postponed. Lisa’s drive to succeed and continuously improve led her to coach at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and the 2020 Games in Tokyo. She is currently the Provincial Rifle/Pistol Coach for the Saskatchewan Target Shooting Association, National Pistol Coach for Shooting Federation of Canada and a personal coach to athletes throughout Canada. As for the Games’ legacy she says it shines through the opportunities and positive effects it has on the youth of our province as well as the stepping stone it provides for athlete and coach advancement.
