When you show respect to your parents, elders, and other people, you also show

appreciation to them.  Appreciation is acknowledging the goodness and significance of

people and good things they do.  It is also an expression of gratitude.

As a child, you learn to do many things at home and in school. This is the time when

you can acquire different skills.  At home, you learn to master important tasks that will help you grow up into a good  person. Your parents and teacher taught you the proper

behavior, the right attitude, and the correct way of relating with other people.

Arts  -  cut and paste of pictures demonstrating respect.  

Respect means accepting someone for who they are despite individual differences.  It also builds the feeling of trust, safety and wellbeing for a strong and lasting relationship with others.  Appreciation on the other hand, is acknowledging the goodness and significance of people and good things they do. It is also an expression of gratitude.
