What are pronouns?
A pronoun is a word that stands in for a noun, often to avoid the need to repeat the same noun over and over. Like nouns, pronouns can refer to people, things, concepts, and places.
First person pronouns - I, Me/We, Us (referring to the person talking)
Second person pronouns - you (referring to the person talked to)
Third person pronouns - she, her, he, him, it/they, them ( referring to the person talked about)
Example:
I am going to school early.
Jasmine wanted ice cream so she went to the store. She was having a birthday party.
Andrea is funny. She is funny.
Mila is kind. She is my friend.
Brad was on time. He was on time.
Pick the ball up. Pick it up.
The kids went to the zoo. They went to the zoo.
My family ate dinner. We ate dinner.
My mom could not find her car keys. She could not find her car keys.
