FAMILY
It is the basic unit in the society. It is a group of people who, in most cases, live together.
TYPES OF FAMILIES
Nuclear Family -- composed of the father, mother and children
Extended Family -- (or joint families) composed of the father, mother, children, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins living together
Single-parent family -- is one where there is one parent caring, guiding and assisting the child/children
Foster family -- are families where a child lives with and is cared for by people who are not his or her biological family.
Both nuclear family and single-parent family are also called the immediate family.
