DISCUSSION
You use the head and neck in walking. You hold your head with your neck straight.
This helps you see where you are going. You use your right and left shoulders in
walking. The shoulder is a part of the trunk. It helps you walk straight. To balance your walking, you swing your hands . You swing them right and left one after the other.
What is walking?
Walking is a step-to-step right and left movement of the legs. It uses the lower parts of the body toward a direction. Some parts of the trunk, the head, and the arms are also used when walking.
How do we walk with proper body form?
Correct walking uses many body parts.
1. The shoulder should be placed back. Put your stomach in. Hold your head straight.
2. Step forward using any foot. Land on the heel of your foot.
3. Roll on the ball of your foot. Use all of your toes. Your pinky toe should be the first to hit the ground. Your big toe should be the last.
4. Keep arms close to the sides. Swing your arms as you walk opposite to your feet.
5. Repeat stepping forward using right foot and left foot alternately until you reach the place where you are going.
6. Keep your eyes to where you are going.
