This upcoming Winter Holiday Hills theme will be Winter Nights!
While overall themes of winter and winter holiday are allowed, this Holiday Hills will be centered around the Northern Lights, the North Wind, Mist, and general winter weather phenomena such as ice and blizzards.

From December 1st to 22nd, members may submit 1 Seasonal Variant to potentially be featured in the upcoming Winter Holiday Hills!
During this time, a designated thread in the #contest-submissions channel on the Discord server will be open to new posts. Submissions will close on the 22nd at 11:59pm EST, and no extensions will be given!
Winners will be determined at random in the #event-hints channel using a bot to roll between all valid entries!
If a guest designer from a previous Holiday Hills within the same year is chosen, an additional winner will be rolled to allow others a fair shot at having their designs chosen for events like this!
After the submission deadline, all entrants will receive 400 Candies for their efforts!

✦ Designs submitted have a chance of becoming an official Holiday Hills Variant Recruit, which can be encountered in the upcoming event dungeon!
✦ About 5-6 designs will be selected at random using a bot. The rolling will happen in the #event-hints channel sometime after entries close!
✦ 1 entry per person! You may collaborate with a partner on a design, but this will count as both you and your partner's single submission for the event!
✦ Displays of poor sportsmanship before, during, or after the event will not be tolerated. Negativity directed at others may result in a warning and disqualification from the current and potentially future events. Avoid whining, self-deprecating comments, passive-aggression, and generally unsporting behavior.
✦ Certain Pokemon cannot be used for the event! Be sure to check the list above before making your design!

✦ Selected designs will be made available to use for all group members.
✦ Members will be allowed to create characters and design evolved forms based on any officially selected designs, so keep that in mind before making a submission!
✦ If there are questions about your Variant design (especially involving how much someone is permitted to alter the design for their own character), you may be contacted for clarification by either staff or other group members.
✦ If your design is not selected, you are free to use that design however you please!
✦ Unless otherwise stated, all submissions in the #contest-submissions thread require permission from the creator to use. Unofficial designs are not free-to-use by default.
✦ Selected designs will be added to the Past Seasonal Variants page and credited under the event they featured in.

During the event, a thread in the #contest-submission channel will be available for new posts.
To submit a design, post an image (preferably with a transparent background) of your Variant in the channel with this information:
✦ A name for your Variant
Note: Unnamed designs will be given one if they are selected!
✦ Whether or not others may use the design if it is not selected
✦ [optionally] How you'd like to be credited for the design (where to link for credit)
Designs that are judged to be invalid (i.e. they do not fit the theme or fit a different Potion/Juice combination more than they do Seasonal), they will not be included in the selection process!
Be sure to check your design in #design-check before submitting one if you are uncertain about whether or not your design would pass!

General Requirements
General Requirements
✵ Designs are feral (no gijinkas) and must be full-body!
Make sure the entire Pokemon is clearly visible in the art that you submit to the event!
✵ Base/flat colors are required, but shading is optional.
✵ Any visual medium is acceptable as long as the final submission is clean and can be viewed clearly.
✵ Pokemon must be at their lowest possible evolutionary stage!
(i.e. a Magby design is allowed, but a Magmar or Magmortar design is not)
✵ Mythical, Paradox, Legendary, and Sub-legendary Pokemon are not allowed.

✵ This Holiday Hills will be centered around Winter Nights, Northern Lights, the North Wind, and Mist. Other ideas include: snow, ice and frozen lakes, blizzards, or frost.
✵ All winter-themed designs or designs based on winter holidays are allowed, even if they do not work with the theme of the event!
✵ Do not make designs based off of real-world cultural folklore without doing your research. Anything deemed cultural appropriation or otherwise insensitive towards real-world cultures will be removed and you will be asked to redesign your entry.
✵ You can check the Past Seasonal Variants page or the Variant Visual Samples for an idea of what previous Seasonal designs looked like!
✵ Be sure to check in #design-check if you're unsure if your design passes! We will be conducting checks of any designs that are submitted without going through #design-check as well, but if it's past the deadline and your design requires changes, it may disqualify you from the selection process!
