General Tasks

General Tasks encompass day-to-day life as a member of the GCSF. Sometimes, your tasks will be as simple as making sure your own team knows what their next steps are, or making sure your base is sufficiently stocked with supplies, or even getting acclimated to living in Ethovalon or visiting the surrounding islands!

Seasonal Activities

Every three months, Chronos plans a huge celebration for the citizens of Ethovalon and the members of the GCSF are invited, of course! In the meantime though, there is plenty to marvel at when it comes to the way the world around us changes as time marches on and we continue through the year.

Perhaps you have a favorite season that you're excited to see again, whether that be for the festivities, the sense of renewal, or even just because you like the weather a little more. Maybe you have certain rituals or habits that you fall back into whenever a particular season comes around. Whatever the case, you should make the most of a season before it's over!

Group Calendar

The group follows the meteorlogical seasons for the northern hemisphere, meaning seasons start and end according to the dates below (in EST):

Winter: December 1 - February 28/29

Spring: March 1 - May 31

Summer: June 1 - August 31

Fall: September 1 - November 30

Home, Sweet Home

After signing up to the GCSF, each team receives a base (albeit pretty rundown) in the housing district of Ethovalon. Your team base does not necessarily have to be in the housing district however, and teams are free to go off to find their own accommodations if desired! However, you must still be based on Kala Island itself -- preferably nearby the city so that you can be on-call if needed!

So, with that in mind, it's time to get settled in! Will the team be staying in one of the provided guild bases? Or will you be looking for your own place to stay? How are the team members planning to decorate the rooms (if there even are multiple rooms)?

This is going to be your new home for the foreseeable future, so be sure it's up to your personal standards for comfort!

Now that the team is all registered with the GCSF and you've (hopefully) worked out your accomodations for your stay, it's time to get acclimated to your new surroundings!

Ethovalon has been a fixture of Kala Island for many years, even before the GCSF got its start in the bustling port city. Are any of your team members locals? Maybe you're completely new to the city and could use a guide to help you find your way around. Once you've figured that out though, it's time to head out and explore a little!

Get familiar with the roads, establishments, docks, and other parts of the city. This may be a good time to go shopping for supplies in the market district, or even going on a grocery run to make sure your new base is stocked up. You could even just go on a stroll in one of the city's parks to clear your head after a day's of work!

Your First Outing

Now that you're sufficiently prepared for just about anything, it's time to get into the thick of things -- the real bread and butter of the GCSF and any other exploration guild operating across the Great Ocean. It's time to tackle your very first dungeon!

Mystery Dungeons can be dangerous and chaotic places. The landscape may shift at a moment's notice, catching you off-guard and spelling disaster for your team. At the same time, there is untold treasures to be found within the depths of each and every dungeon, and secrets waiting to be uncovered even to this day!

If you're unsure about anything, the guild is here for you! There's no shame in asking for aid from a more experienced team, or perhaps even inviting other rookies along for the ride. Whatever you choose, get out there and do the very best you can!
