Winter 2025 Holiday Hills!
Winter 2025 Holiday Hills!
Winter Holiday Hills ends on January 31st at 11:59 PM EST!
Extensions given out for this Holiday Hills will end on February 7th at 11:59 PM EST!
DUNGEON:
All throughout the Holiday Hills grounds, paths have been shoveled out and salted to make way for guests who have come to peruse the various stalls and marketplace mainstays like the outdoor patios and cafes serving delicious wintery treats. Lights are strung up between the trees that tower overhead, and other similar glimmering decorations illuminate the festival grounds when the sun sets and night takes over. With all this cheer in the air, it's as if the joy never may never end!
Outside the fenced off area dedicated to the more casual activities, there are snow-covered fields abound! Out here, you can glimpse the magnificent mountains off in the distance. A massive frozen lake with nets and other sports equipment is nearby for those who want to try their hand at some winter sports, even when they're in their smaller, feral forms. Just down the trail, a short hike away from the main fairgrounds, there are cozy cottages to provide a quieter area for anyone who needs a moment of peace. Here, you can settle down by the fireplace with a warm cup of cocoa all while getting a fantastic view of the lights of the festival just a little way's down the beaten trail.
Occasionally, the Guardian Deities Tapu Fini and Tapu Lele show their faces around the festival grounds and the hiking trails, eager to join in or perhaps simply content to watch as the members of the GCSF go about their fun.
[ The images below are loosely for inspiration on how to depict the dungeon and other Holiday Hills environments. These are primarily optional, so feel free to come up with your own interpretations while keeping to the overall theme of the event! ]
There are 6 special Seasonal Variants in this dungeon!
If you recruit any Seasonal Variant Pokemon, their feral design must be somewhat similar to the reference! If you wish to deviate slightly from its design, you must post it in the #design-check channel for approval. However, once they evolve, their design is up to you!
For more on Variants, see the Potions & Variants page!

Read this section for information on creating and submitting a dungeon for Holiday Hills!
⛄ Like a regular dungeon, a Holiday Hills dungeon consists of:
a maximum of 4 characters belonging to a team
rewards for Poke and Candy capped at a maximum of 7 characters in art pieces (such as 4 player characters and 3 NPCs)
requirements for art pieces including a background
requirements for written pieces having a word count of at least 500 words
⛄ There are no level requirements in Holiday Hills, so characters of all levels are permitted!
⛄ Unlike a regular dungeon, characters do not gain levels and teams cannot use items! Post-dungeon items like Poke Radars or Encounter Swaps can be used afterwards however!
⛄ Use the Holiday Hills Dungeon Grader to submit your work -- just like you would submit a regular dungeon!
⛄ Variant Recruits gained from Holiday Hills cannot be altered using other Potions or Juices for a minimum of 3 months! For more information, see Restrictions on Holiday Hills Recruits.
⛄ As always, please put genuine effort into your work! Spamming low-effort or otherwise rushed work in an attempt to "grind" is highly discouraged and may result in a warning if abused!
🍬 To see how much Candy you should be receiving for your work, see the Holiday Hills page!
Unless otherwise state, these event prompts are for characters in gijinka/humanoid form!
Prompts done with ferals will not count for Candy but can be submitted for Poke!
This prompt can be completed with both ferals and gijinkas!
For those unfamiliar with Art Fight, it's a month-long online event where artists are split into two teams. To earn points for your side, you draw gift art for members of the opposing team. This month, we'll be featuring a sort of "mini Art Fight" event rather than the usual January Secret Santa!
To participate in this event...
✦ Register to join by letting us know in #questions that you'd like to join!
✧ If you didn't register in December 2024, you unfortunately will not get to choose the team you join. A staff member will respond to you as soon as you've been added to one of the teams (whichever may need more members at the time) to let you know which team you've joined!
✦ Create artwork or writing for any character and submit it under Task 01 | The Gift of Giving to receive points for your team!
Gifts must be submitted under this Task to count towards your team's total!
✧ Gift art and/or writing can be made for anybody, and not only those who have signed up to the event! However, there are circumstances where points will be reduced. See the sections below for the details on how scoring works!

Disclaimer: Scoring may be updated and rebalanced as we see fit over the course of the event. As this is the first time we're doing something like this, this will be much of a learning process for us!
Additionally, we would like to stress that quality takes precedence over quantity. Though this is a sort of competition, it is also a casual event meant to celebrate your peers in the group. If anyone is found to be submitting multiple pieces of a noticeably lower quality than their usual work for the sake of grinding points, they may be contacted and their points adjusted.
Even the losing team will receive a reward for participation, so have fun, please be respectful of your fellow artists and writers, and put your best foot forward!
In the spirit of competition, a small area outside the festival grounds has been reserved for snowball fights! Get out onto the field and start shoring up your defenses! Build a snow fort, or even a snow fortress to keep from the onslaught of snowballs! We're all eager to see which team has the more agile of guild members and which team's creatures can endure the longest!
This might end up being one of the more intense activities on the field so just try not to hurt anyone! And leave the passersby out of it if you can...)
For those who want to take it a little easier, or even those of a more creative persuasion, there's an ice and snow sculpture showcase scheduled for the entire month! Head on down and pick out a chunk of ice to start chipping away at! Get to packing up some snow into something to really show your team spirit! It isn't really a competition here, so there's no harm in grabbing some friends -- even if they're not on the same team -- and collaborating on something truly grand!
At last, Chronos is thrilled to announce that his regularly scheduled soirees are back on the table! The ballroom at the manor is open to guests, and he's encouraged any and all attendees to be appropriately dressed. The theming this time seems to be around the colors pink and blue, but anything is welcome!
For this prompt, you can use the Winter Ball Meme Template! By filling this, you'll receive a reward for the prompt itself in addition to a small bonus for using an official meme template on your first submission!
On subsequent submissions of this task, do not select "Meme using template" as you can only claim the bonus once!
