This usually wouldn't be something to write home about but the envelope looks kinda fancy... maybe it's worth a read?

Upon opening it, you read the following…

Dear heroes of the GSCF,

We at the kingdom of Apulia have taken notice of your great efforts! It is our humble honor to invite you now to come, visit our fine kingdom and show us your strength! Of course, you will have all the finest things - more riches than you could ever dream when you arrive and even more in time!

[ There seem to be a few spots where the ink was scratched through, a little messy in a few places though it was pretty obvious it was at least trying to be super neat at the start... maybe whoever was writing this started to get impatient? ]

I cannot wait to see you! We have games, a fine new stadium that needs to be filled!!!

The GSCF sure has garnered quite the reputation, no? You should be proud, you've met with legends, become heroes - and now it seems you've gotten the attention of a prince! And heroes deserve a welcome worthy of their great status!!! Trumpets sound as the guild marches into the kingdom of Apulia - known to be a small but incredibly wealthy one.

And wealthy indeed it seems! You may have roughed it camping last month but now you are greeted by gorgeous, palatial walls, beautiful streets and sparkling fountains. It's the picture of decadent wealth as you are escorted into the castle by bowing guards, down a long hallway before being ushered into the throne room where you see... huh????

A child, no more than 14, sitting there on the oversized throne - he looks even smaller on it, with his oversized cape and crown threatening to fall off of his head at every move. The boy straightens up before clearing his throat and greeting you, "welcome! Welcome to my kingdom - or, I mean, it's my parents' kingdom technically but - they're gone longer than we thought so I figured we would - you know, play games!"

He seems to get excited for a moment before straightening hismelf out again and trying to look very fancy, "I mean, if you want - you can stay here! And play games, and do... y'know, stuff. Like, dungeons! And maybe - you could take me if you want..."

He looks embarrassed almost at the last sentence and rushes it out before shaking himself off and raising his cane.

"So! Stay here this month! Play, eat, be happy! There's treasure unimaginable waiting for you at the end of the games -"

"If you can get it!" a loud, abrasive voice shouts and the clinking of metal alerts you to Octavia as she approaches, heavy footsteps and armor clad figure looming. She offers a smirk - maybe a sneer - and nods her head. "Hey, you pipsqueaks! Good to see you again."

Kalani sighs some as their loud friend aggressively approaches, tentatively pressing their hands together but at least nodding in agreement to the sentiment, "it is good to see you again... I, uh, yeah! I'm happy to be down here again-"

Kaimana, at least, steps over to stop Octavia from starting a friendly brawl outright, and puts a hand on her shoulder, giving the Groudon pause while she, too, offers her greetings, "we're sorry again for the trouble we caused - can't thank you again for everything you've done - please, now allow us to treat you to some fun events here!"

And with that, the games have begun! Both the Prince and the Legends have events for you to take part in this month if you so please! But, even if you don't, you'll have run of a fancy castle and all it's fine foods and luxury!!! Whether this is something you're used to or not, it's sure something to enjoy - so go out there and have fun!

The young prince is as good as his word and he did promise a BIG SURPRISE to those who complete his game! It seems he meant that quite literally because the board's ultimate prize has been revealed as a Wishing Star!

✵ This one-use-per-month powerhouse of an item allows one Pokemon to G/Dynamax in a dungeon and guarantees you both 100% success and 100% recruit chance in that dungeon!

✵ It can only be used in dungeon runs and not for clearing Missions! No other items can be stacked on top with it in the run! The gameboard has been updated to show the prize has been revealed!

You can claim multiple prompt rewards in one comment! Either Note the Group or Leave a comment in the #inventory channel on the Discord with links to pieces that complete a row/column/or the whole board to claim your prize(s) anytime before the end of the 7th of September (midnight EST!)

Event Details & Questions

✵ Dungeons must be submitted this month to count! Old Submissions do not count! Mission submissions do not double as Dungeon Submissions for this event!

Extensions will NOT count to make a piece eligible for this event, all pieces must be started and completed this month August!

Pokemon who meet multiple type-requirements CAN count for multiple squares!

(i.e. a Psychic/Ice Mr. Rime can count for both an Ice and Psychic requirement on a piece)

Primary/Secondary Typing doesn’t matter! A secondary Grass-Type like Paras can still fill a Grass-Type requirement the same as a Primary Grass type like Bulbasaur or a Pokemon who’s single-type grass like Tangela!

✵ Cameos and Collabs are both allowed and will fulfill requirements!

✦ Always ask permission before you cameo other people's characters!

✦ You don’t have to ask to cameo Group NPC's, they’re always free to use!

✦ Remember, you must have at least one of your own characters in a dungeon to count and only 4 Characters max can be brought to a dungeon at once or the attempt will be null!

✵ Multiple Square requirements CAN be completed in one piece!

You are 100% free to use your big massive Calyrex brain to knock out a ton of squares in just a couple go’s to make this board ezpz or you can bust through em’ one by one, it's up to you!

✵ Once a piece meets the criteria for one of the boxes, the same one can be used to claim multiple prizes, you don't "use up" your piece so to say when you claim a prize!

The legends of the Air Continent are staging quite the event this month! The absolutely massive colosseum by Desiderius’s Castle is all shiny and sadly unused - it’s time to break it in! Made of beautiful stone and marble, polished to a tee with gorgeous seating and luxurious places to stay and to watch the games, this is a great occasion for some fun!

Octavia, Kaimana, and Kalani are helping to host some events for the brave GSCF to participate in the sport! Oh! And no cheating by using any moves or abilities in any events!!!

Task 1 | Show your Strength!

Ruled over by the powerful (and questionably aggressive) Octavia, these events are all about being the strongest! Show how much you can lift, wrestle an opponent to the ground, play all manner of contact sport, shoot your shot put through the roof - or, through the top of the stadium, rather! Octavia will be watching… don’t disappoint her or she might intervene and show you how it’s done!

And no one wants that!!!

Task 2 | Go for a Swim!

Overseen by the lovely Kaimana, I hope you’ve been brushing up on your swimming prowess for this! Lap your opponents in the great big fancy stadium pool, show em’ who’s the fastest swimmer (you!) - show off your form in the high dive, or even do some synchronized swimming routine that’ll blow everyone away! Water’s the way to go, babey, so come on in!

This special TM can be taught to any single team member even if they cannot naturally learn it and will break after its single use! It cannot be traded or sold!]

Task 3 | Fly high, Gymnastics!

Hosted by the master of the skies Kalani, come show off your style in the Gymnastics portion of the games! Get up on the high bars, do a flip, anything flexible or high-flying - vault, ring, and swing your way through with grace...! Or not! It doesn’t matter as long as you try - just be careful and make sure you’re being safe!

[At the end of the month, a random roll in the #Bot-Rolls channel will decide a Gold Medalist for this event! The prize for this lucky participant will receive an Illegal TM: Acrobatics! This special TM can be taught to any single team member even if they cannot naturally learn it and will break after its single use! It cannot be traded or sold!]

*Each person may only get one entry into each event’s winner pool once! You can complete prompts as many times as you’d like but will only get one entry per event! In the case of a collaboration, both participants will be entered separately into the event!

*In the case that the same person is rolled as a winner for more than one event, they’ll get to choose which of the prizes they rolled to keep - the others will be rerolled to others so no one person can get more than one special prize!

*If enough people complete these tasks, there may be additional prizes rolled for Silver and Bronze medalists on them!

* Remember, tasks should be done in Gijinka/Human form and not Feral to count!
