✦ The items in this shop can be used to make changes to individual characters!

✦ Here, you will find Wedding Bands, as well as Move and Ability Tutors, Z-Crystals, and services which allow you to turn an NPC into a PC or vice-versa!

✦ These items (barring a few exceptions such as the Evolution Crystal) do not change the appearance of your character in any major way!

✦ You can read about special, event-only variants here! For other items that can alter your character's appearance, see the Potions & Customizations shop!

Evolution Crystal | Event Item

Available only at the Traveling Shop or during Holiday Hills!

This glowing crystal will allow any Pokemon to evolve so long as the requirements are met first.

✦ Evolution Crystals are single-use and are consumed once activated! You do not need to use it immediately upon purchase.

✦ To confirm your evolution, you must draw or write a piece of your character visiting Luminous Spring and confirm the evolution by posting to the Daily Life & Tasks Grader.

✦ Pokemon that evolve through leveling or acquiring a certain move will not need to use an Evolution Crystal!

✦ Any Pokemon that requires an item will need to mention this item's use when submitting their Luminous Spring piece!

》 Starting With an Evolved Recruit 《

➤ Recruits and team leaders for future teams (i.e. not your very first team) maybe submitted to the group already evolved!

➤ You must have a number of Evolution Crystals needed to evolve to the stage you want and you must submit a Luminous Spring piece alongside your application.

➤ The Evolution Crystals are needed regardless of whether or not the Pokemon evolves via level-up, items, or any other method.

➤ For example:

Want to start with a Nidoking at Level 1? You will need 2 Evolution Crystals and a Luminous Spring piece!
Want to start with a Persian at Level 1? You will need 1 Evolution Crystal and a Luminous Spring piece!
Is your Pokemon one that evolves with the use of an item? You will need 1 Evolution Crystal and a Luminous Spring piece!

Wedding Band | 5,000p per user

Love is in the air! Do you feel a certain kinship with one of your guildmates here at the GCSF? Well, you can seal the deal with a Wedding Band!

✦ This item and the concept of marriage in the group has no added bonuses and is purely used for flavor and fun! However, this will be changing in the coming months, so stay tuned!

✦ Any characters regardless of if they were married before joining the GCSF or if they are getting married after joining must have a Wedding Band. The amount of Wedding Bands needed to be purchased varies depending on if you are two members wishing to marry their characters together or if you are one person with a pair of characters who are married to each other!

➤ If two different users wish for their characters to marry each other, each user will have to purchase a Wedding Band for their own character!

➤ If a single user wishes for two of their own characters to be married, they only need to purchase one Wedding Band!

➤ The total cost per user to allow their characters to be married is 5,000p!

✦ There are requirements for marriages between characters belonging to different members of the group, so be sure to review them!

✦ Once the requirements have been met, open a ticket via #submit-a-ticket to declare that your characters are going to marry!

✦ Optionally, you can also let us know if you would like to run a public wedding RP in one of the Discord RP channels to commemorate the occasion!

》 Requirements for Marriage 《

➤ For members who want a character to potentially marry another member's character(s), all people must submit 3 collaborations (or roleplays) together to qualify for marriage.

➤ If you wish for your characters to marry each other, no collaborations are required.

➤ These collabs must have the characters in question as the main focus of the piece(s) and cannot be completed in dungeons!

➤ Once completed, link the pieces when purchasing the Wedding Band(s) in #shop! Each spouse requires their own Wedding Band.

➤ The rings will be added to the respective character's team inventories permanently and will be proof of consent of all parties for the marriage.

Tera Shard | Event Item

Available only at the Traveling Shop!

This mysterious shard comes in all the colors of the rainbow! Tera Shards can be used to grant a character alternative Tera Typing, giving them a different crown while Terastallized!

✦ By default, a character's Tera Typing will be their primary type. You can use this item to change that typing to be anything else (barring Stellar type or ??? type)!

✦ As always, when a character is depicted as Terastallized in a submission, the crown must reflect your character's Tera Type! Terastallization is exclusive to teams that own a Tera Orb.

✦ Tera Shards are one-time use and another must be purchased if you wish to change your character's Tera Type again.

✦ To apply a Tera Shard to a character, post in the #inventory channel with the character and Tera Type you'd like to apply to them!

Child NPC Slot | 20,000p each*

Feel like you and your significant other are ready to take the next step in your relationship? Characters can now have children regardless if they are married or a single parent!
✦ Characters do not need to be married to have children!

✦ Each couple/single parent can have a max of three children!

✦ For members who have a couple, you will have to wait 3 months before adopting a child after your characters have been married!

✦ Twins and triplets are allowed, however you will still have to wait 3 months between each application to buy the slot(s) for the other child(ren)! If you wish to bring in multiple children at the same time, see Multiple Children at Once below.

✦ The requirements for children between couples and single parents are different! Be sure to review the differences!

* This pricing is for bringing in one character at the time of purchase. To bring in multiple characters at once (i.e. twins, triplets), see the section below.

》Submitting an NPC Application 《

➤ Once you purchase the item, there will be a 3 month waiting period before your character(s) get to meet their child! You will be given a date when you purchase the item. In this time, assume that your character(s) are waiting for adoption papers, dealing with their pregnancy, and/or otherwise preparing themselves for a new member of the family!

➤ At the end of the 3 months, you may open a ticket via #submit-a-ticket to send in an NPC application for approval.

➤ The visual application is required. The written application must include, at minimum:

Age
Species
Nature
Characteristic
Personality
History

》Requirements for Couples 《

For couples regardless if they can become pregnant or not, these are the requirements for having children:

One or both member must pay the 20,000p fee (this can be split between members)
2 collaborative art/roleplay pieces must be submitted involving the couple preparing for their new baby!

》Requirements for Single Parents《

For single parents, adoption is for you!

You must pay a total of 20,000p fee yourself.
4 art/written pieces must be submitted involving your character reflecting/preparing for adoption!

》Multiple Children at Once《

(Twins, Triplets, etc.)

If you wish to bypass the 3-month wait period and bring in multiple characters at once, there is an increase to the pricing per Child NPC Slot, and you will have to purchase the slots to use all at once. For example, if you have a pair of twins or a trio of triplets you want to have in the group all at the same time, you may want to use this version of the item.

➤ The price of each slot is increased by 50%. This means, each Child NPC Slot costs 30,000p instead of the normal 20,000p.

➤ Slots must be purchased at once. This means that if you want to have 2 children join at once, the total price will be 60,000p. For 3 children, the total price will be 90,000p.

➤ All other requirements and restrictions are the same, however the application for each child must be submitted at the same time.

➤ Note that using this version of the Child NPC Slots is optional. You may still have twins and triplets or other siblings using the 20,000p slots, but you will be subject to the 3-month wait period. This is a mechanical function of the item, and story-wise, you can act as though the characters were always born/adopted in at the same time if you wish.

✵ Vials ✵

Shadowy Vial | Event Item

Available only via Personal Story Tasks!

This potion vial is filled with a foul-looking purple substance with some sort of black growth along the inside of the glass... it may not be safe for consumption.

✦ Ingesting this potion will cause your character to acquire the Shadow Sickness!

✦ The Shadow Sickness is a condition that causes physical changes to a character's appearance and that damages their psyche and affects their mentality. For more information, read Shadow Arc & The Sickness below!

✦ Current and previously shadow-afflicted characters have access to Shadow Moves! A full list of Shadow Moves can be found here.

✦ Certain Pokemon may also be able to learn Purification Moves after they've been cured of the Shadow Sickness! A full list of Purification Moves can be found here.

✦ To teach a character a Shadow or Purification Move, you'll need to buy a Move Tutor (1,500p) and mention which move you'd like to apply to your character in #inventory!

✦ This is a single-use item and can only be used on the character that completes the relevant task. If you want to have multiple characters use the vial, you'll have to complete the task for each character!

》 Shadow Arc & The Sickness 《

➤ Shadow Arcs encompass a time where your character is afflicted by the Shadow Sickness, and can be used for personal story purposes.

➤ Shadow-afflicted characters will be affected by extreme negative emotions and frequently act out or become despondent.

Common emotions among the afflicted include irrational anger, sadness, and similar extreme emotions. They generally act rash and their decision-making is impaired.
Common symptoms include pain ranging anywhere between aches and agonizing, fevers and/or chills, and visual changes to the body. These changes may include their skin, hair, and other bodily features turning purple, black, or similar colder hues.
Afflicted characters will be told to quarantine themselves. They will be told to stay indoors and to limit interactions with others where possible. However, whether they follow these restrictions is up to you.

➤ Though the Strange Vial is categorized similarly to Potions and Juices, the changes are not as extensive for it! For ideas for how the sickness affects your character's appearance, see the Potions Moodboards & Inspirations!

➤ Shadow Sickness can be and has been cured. Though she travels the Great Ocean and only occasionally drops in to Ethovalon, as long as the character visits Haruki the Celebi, she will be able to cure them of their affliction.

[ COMING SOON ] A task will be added in the near future to allow for the Shadow Sickness to be cured by Haruki!

Cursed Vial | Event Item

Available only via Personal Story Tasks!

This potion vial is filled with a thick and murky red liquid. There is a tiny pinprick of light floating within it that gives even the toughest adventurers the chills.

✦ Ingesting the contents of this vial will cause your character to become cursed!

➤ Examples of a curse may be vampirism, lycanthropy, becoming undead, etc.

✦ A curse must be a condition that makes the character "monstrous" in some way. However, this is not the same as using Monster Juice!

》 Cursed Characters 《

➤ Monster Juice is primarily used for aesthetic changes and does not necessarily come with the plot-relevant details and (flavorful) abilities granted by the Cursed Vial.

➤ Cursed characters are allowed to have slight visual changes that reflect their affliction! Any major visual changes may require a Potion or a Juice however! For example:

A vampire character may have fangs, red eyes, and sharp nails
A werewolf character may be hairier or have sharp nails, and they may have animal-like traits while they are transformed
A ghostly character may have translucent body parts or leave a wispy trail (be mindful of the rules on gore, however!)

➤ Some curses can be broken, but not all of them can be. Which curses exactly can be cured will be handled on a case-by-case basis if it is non-standard or has strange conditions.

For example, if a character has been reanimated as a zombie or a ghost, they cannot be "resurrected" or be made to be not undead anymore.
[ COMING SOON ] A task will be added in the future to allow for curses to be broken for those who wish to be "cured"!

➤ If you want to break your character's curse, please open a ticket via #submit-a-ticket to let the staff know about the details of your character's curse!

Artificer's Vial | Event Item

Available only via Personal Story Tasks!

This potion vial is filled with an oily substance that occasionally bubbles without reason. Despite this, it's cool to the touch and there appears to be a gear suspended inside of it. Rumour has it, this came from the Isle of Steam...

✦ Ingesting the contents of this vial will cause your character to become a living construct!

✦ This vial allows for the creation of androids, golems, living armour, and anything else that was created by a person or otherwise not born naturally with a body made of flesh and blood.

✦ This cannot be "cured" in the same way as the Shadowy Vial or the Cursed Vial. Once a character is created this way, you cannot change them back!

》 Restrictions on Construct Bodies《

➤ The character has to have some sort of man-made body created from unnatural materials. They cannot be a type of “Frankenstein’s monster” where the body is still made of flesh due to the questionable nature of sourcing such materials!

➤ This does mean that the character should either already be a mechanical, mineral or otherwise man-made Pokémon (i.e. Varoom, Porygon, Baltoy, etc.) or they must have a Paradox Potion and / or Synthetic Juice applied.

✵ Moves & Abilities ✵

Ability Tutor | 3,000p

You can use this item to change a character's ability!

✦ Can be used to swap to any legal ability your Pokemon can have (including hidden)
✦ Once a character's ability has changed, they cannot be changed again until 1 month has passed.

✦ This item can be activated by posting in the #inventory channel or via #submit-a-ticket with the character whose ability will be changed and the ability you'd like to give them!

Illegal Ability Tutor | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

This special Ability Tutor item can be used to give your character an ability they otherwise could not have normally!

✦ This item can be activated by posting in the #inventory channel or via #submit-a-ticket with the character whose ability will be changed and the ability you'd like to give them!

✦ Once used, the character will permanently be able to re-learn their new ability! You can use a regular Ability Tutor (3,000p) to re-learn any illegal ability that has been given to the character in the past.

》 Off-limits Abilities 《

➤ The following abilities are disallowed even while using this item:

Imposter (Ditto)
Wonder Guard (Shedinja)
Illusion (Zorua, Zoroark)
Legendary Signature Abilities (Mega Rayquaza's Delta Stream, Solgaleo's Full Metal Body, Yveltal's Dark Aura, etc.)
Form-changing Abilities (Morpeko's Hunger Switch, Mimikyu's Disguise, Eiscue's Ice Face, Aegislash's Stance Switch, etc.)
Protosynthesis (Ancient Paradox Pokemon)
Quark Drive (Future Paradox Pokemon)
Other abilities that may be broken or otherwise nonsensical be added to this list in the future!

Move Tutor | 1,500p

This item can be used to learn moves that are not available to your character via levels or TM/TRs but that they are still able to legally acquire!

✦ This item allows you to give one Pokemon any move that they can legally learn through: Move Tutor, Breeding (Egg Moves), or Transfer.

✦ Moves that Pokemon were able to learn in a previous generation that they may no longer be able to learn in the current generation can be acquired using this item as well!

➤ For example, Petilil lost the ability to learn Grass Whistle as the move was removed in Gen 8. However, the Move Tutor can give a Petilil the move Grass Whistle since it was learnable in a previous generation.

✦ This item can be activated by posting in the #inventory channel with the character and the move you'd like to teach them!

✦ Move Tutors can be applied to new recruits prior to submitting the application for approval!

Illegal Move Tutor | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

This special Move Tutor item can be used to give your character a move they otherwise could not have normally!

✦ Signature moves are allowed as long as they are not included in the Off-limits Moves list!

✦ This item can be activated by posting in the #inventory channel with the character and the move you'd like to teach them!

✦ Once used, the character will permanently be able to re-learn their new move! You can use a Heart Scale (1,500p) to re-learn any illegal move that has been given to the character in the past.

》 Off-limits Moves 《

➤ The following moves are disallowed even while using this item:

Transform (Ditto, Mew)
Legendary or Mythical Signature Moves (Xerneas's Geomancy, Hoopa's Hyperspace Hole, etc.)
Other moves that may be broken or otherwise nonsensical be added to this list in the future!

TM / TR / HM | 1,500p

Teaches any move learned by Technical Machine, Technical Record, or Hidden Machine to a character! When purchasing, be sure to mention the Name of the TM/TR you're buying!

✦ These items can be used multiple times! i.e. Once you buy the TM for Flamethrower, you can teach Flamethrower to any number of your characters who can legally learn it in their newest available generation without having to buy the same TM again.
✦ TMs / TRs / HMs are tracked on the group inventory per team! However, it is encouraged that you keep your own record of what your team have!

✦ Unlike specific Move Tutors, you do not have to Activate TMs / TRs / HMs and can use them on your Pokemon at any point, including on incoming recruits!

Heart Scale | 1,500p

This item allows a character to re-learn a move they forgot! You have to replace one of the moves you already know!

✦ The move gained through this item will replace a move that your character already knows.

✦ Any move that was previously obtained through a Illegal Move Tutor (event item) can be re-learned using this item!

Z-Crystals | 5,000p

Allows any Pokemon on your team to use a Z-Move!

✦ Each team may only purchase one set of Z-Crystals as it applies to every character on the team!

✦ This item does not provide any bonuses and is merely used for flavor purposes!

Character Name Change | FREE

Need to change your character's name? Just be sure to let us know!

✦ You may only change your character's name once per month so be sure you're satisfied with your decision!

✦ You may request a character's name be changed by posting in the #inventory channel or via #submit-a-ticket with the character's team, their current name, and the name you'd like to change to!

PC to NPC Swap | 3,000p

Want to retire a character without dismissing them entirely? This'll do it for ya!

✦ If you would instead like to dismiss or retire a character permanently, you can do so by dismissing the recruit in #inventory! Retiring Leaders will require you switch a different character into the Leader position of the team beforehand!

Changed your mind and want to bring a character out of retirement? Or did you accidentally get a little too attached to an NPC you made...? It happens to the best of us!

Armory Honedge | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

A special recruit whose appearance is a little bit quirkier than most! Rather than the typical longsword, this Honedge has instead opted to possess a different type of weapon!

✦ This Honedge can take on the form of any kind of weapon, including oddly shaped bladed weapons and swords!

✦ The design should maintain most of Honedge's primary characteristics: its eye(s), a tassel or something equivalent that can act as an "arm" of sorts, or the patterning on its sheath and/or sash.

✦ Designs must be approved in the #design-check channel! Additional Potions and / or Juices cannot be applied to this Special Variant at this time.

✦ Once purchased, this Special Recruit will be added to the Recruit Tokens section of your inventory. If you wish to give them a name and/or once you submit an application for them, you must have an open recruit slot for them to be moved into.

✦ Alternatively, you may buy this item to apply to an existing, approved Honedge character to turn them into an Armory Honedge!

✦ You can change an existing Armory Honedge's weapon by purchasing this item and applying it to them again!

Cosplay Mimikyu | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

A special recruit whose appearance is a little bit quirkier than most! Wanting to branch out from its usual appearance, this Mimikyu has spent a lot of time putting together its new disguise!

✦ Instead of the usual Pikachu-styled costume of a regular Mimikyu, this one can take on the appearance of most other Pokemon!

✦ The costume can be based on any regular Pokemon!

➤ OFF-LIMITS: At this time, all Legendary, Mythical, Paradox Pokemon and Ultra Beasts are not permitted to be used as costumes.

✦ Designs must be approved in the #design-check channel! Only Shiny Potion and Hue Berry may be applied to this Special Variant at this time.

✦ Alternatively, you may buy this item to apply to an existing, approved Mimikyu character to turn them into a Cosplay Mimikyu!

✦ You can change an existing Cosplay Mimikyu's costume by purchasing this item and applying it to them again!

Costume Pikachu | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

This Pikachu is able to be dressed up into five different costumes corresponding to each of the five Contest conditions (Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness), and learn exclusive moves, which are linked to these costumes!

✦ Costume Pikachu can be dressed up in contest outfits: Coolness, Beauty, Cuteness, Cleverness, and Toughness!

✦ Each costume allows Pikachu to learn exclusive moves! If you decide to replace the move or not to use it immediately, it can be re-learned at a later time!

✦ The base designs of each costume can be viewed here!

✦ Designs must be approved in the #design-check channel! Only Shiny Potion and Hue Berry may be applied to this Special Variant at this time.

✦ Alternatively, you may buy this item to apply to an existing, approved Pikachu character to turn them into an Costume Pikachu!

✦ You can change an existing Costume Pikachu's costume by purchasing this item and applying it to them again!

Fruity Applin | Event Item

Available only during certain events such as Holiday Hills!

A special recruit whose appearance is a little bit quirkier than most! This Applin is still the loveable scamp you know and love... but with a different, fruity flavour to them!

✦ This Applin can appear to look like any fruit or berry (in-game or real life)!

✦ Designs must be approved in the #design-check channel! Additional Potions and / or Juices cannot be applied to this Special Variant at this time.

✦ Alternatively, you may buy this item to apply to an existing, approved Applin character to turn them into an Costume Applin!

✦ You can change an existing Fruity Applin's fruit by purchasing this item and applying it to them again!
