💥The Shadow Sickness has Spread to the GCSF ... 💥
It started with Haruki, and now, at least one person from each team is experiencing the same symptoms as her!
The guild leaders have fallen ill, team leaders, team members, and even civilians aren't safe.Â
It's probably best to just hold out until this pandemic concludes ...
✦ THIS IS A PASSIVE EVENT AND WILL LAST UNTIL THE END OF JUNE ✦
For months, people have wondered what sickness plagued King Desiderius of Apulia. But now, not only has it affected Haruki, but now many Team Leaders and Team members of the GCSF as well! Anybody plagued with the strange Shadow Sickness will feel overcome with irrational and irritable anger, sadness, and other extreme emotions.
On top of this, it seems any Pokemon afflicted with this sickness is in immense amounts of pain, struggling with a fever, chills, and aches. Another telltale sign is the color of your skin, hair, and features turning purple, black, or other cool colors. If you or any other teammates have been afflicted with this sickness, it's best to avoid others and stay indoors! The guild (or rather, those who haven't been infected) are working hard on finding a cure!
So just sit tight and ... try not to succumb to the shadows.
After Haruki lashed out at the Branch Leaders, it seems just about all of Ethovalon is now afflicted with the Shadow Sickness! Anybody showing the symtpoms from the statement above is recommended not to be in contact with people, as this sickness seems to spread quite rapidly! For those dealing with a teammate or a loved one who is affected by the sickness, do all you can to keep them calm and relaxed-- and remember, they don't mean the things they're saying. It's all thanks to this nasty affliction!
Those who aren't plagued with the Shadow Sickness have taken it upon themselves to go search for clues and look for a cure! There are several promising dungeons and places of interest that could yield some helpful clues and hints. The Kingdom of Apulia, Purity Forest, Treasure Town, Lively Town, and Spiral Archipelago are all places where Haruki has resided or the Shadow Sickness seems to have impacted! Dive into dungeons, talk to people, and figure out a way to stop the spread of this cursed Shadow Sickness!
Ultimately, this event is more so for character development, arcs, and RP! Below you can find some ideas for RP and artwork, as well as prompts for bonus poke!
✦ Members can do one of two things: Randomize one character, and choose another OR opt out of randomization and choose two characters to become infected.
- If you haven't randomized yet, but want to, let us know in the #inventory channel on the discord!
- If a character was drawn that you don't want to use, we can re-roll as well! Ultimately, it's up to you if you want to choose them or opt out and choose two instead.
✦ Though it's advised for infected members to stay home and not interact with others ... will that stop them? Characters with the Shadow Sickness don't tend to think all that clearly and may make rash decisions ...
✦ It's up to you how your portray this sickness affecting your characters! Do they lash out angrily at people? Does it make them depressed or sorrowful? You have full control over how this is played out, just keep in mind that intense violence is still a no-no despite everyone not being in the right mind!
✦ Feel free to draw up references for what your characters look like when infected with the Shadow Sickness! You'll get bonus poke for drawing them!
✦ Members who wish to help their teammates can! Do they help them through their symtpoms? Do they try to talk to them through this ordeal? It must be a lot that they're going through, but luckily their teammates, friends, and loved ones are there to help them through it!
✦ Members who wish to help their teammates in other ways can take to Areas of Interest to look for clues!
- The Kingdom of Apulia, Lively Town, Treasure Town, Spiral Archipelago, and Purity Forest seem to be places of interest! Maybe you'll find something there?
- Check libraries, ask civilians, check in with other guilds and find a way to counter this sickness!

01 | Healing Haruki AND the Town!
Not only has Haruki become more violent, but maybe there's answers here that no one had thought of before! If nothing else, she seems to be suffering the most from this sickness. Maybe helping her could give you some insight for how to deal with friends stricken with the same illness? If you're not comfortable putting yourself in harm's way due to her aggression, maybe you can help out a friend or a loved one who's dealing with the shadow sickness?Â
02 | Despite Everything, It's Still YouÂ
Draw your character shadowified! Do they look any different? Colors of the skin, hair, and features tend to change when afflicted with this illness, so would anything about them change?
You can give little tidbits of information in the description as well, any quirks with their body or personality that seems to have changed along with this sickness.
There is no official meme for this prompt! All references can be submitted to the "Events" gallery folder or the "Events" channel on our grading server!
03 | A Shadow in My Mind
Members of the GCSF have been afflicted with this strange sickness and have been acting completely unlike themselves! Maybe someone who was kindhearted and friendly is totally lashing out at their friends, or someone who was angry before has had it amped up x10! Keep your distance from them, don't let them attack you, but try to calm them down as best you can. After all, they're still your friend-- even if this sickness has changed them!
04 | Researching Lore
The world is full of extensive knowledge with other guilds, libraries, and endless means of finding answers. In order to help our friends, it may be necessary to dive headfirst into a book and see what you can uncover! This can't be the only instance of "Shadow Pokemon" in the long history of the world, right? Perhaps some searching and digging up info could yield something! This can also be depicted as asking around and seeing what the different guilds and civilians have to say!
